The Local Donut Reviews

Hands down the best donut shop in Arizona.
This location is in Scottsdale off Hayden and they make the donuts fresh everyday. I love the option to order ahead online for the specific ones that I desire or the fact that I can call ahead to order. My favorite donut is between the PB&J or the Pineapple fluff donut. Get there early because when the rush hits, it hits hard. The cleanliness is good and everyone is so friendly. They have to work on keeping the dinning space together but I’m so happy with The Local Donut.

The best donuts in town by far! They also make a great gift – I always take a half dozen of their best sellers to my barber, neighbors or co-workers and it’s always a huge hit!

Some of my favorites are the Traditional Bluberry Old Fashioned, Traditional Glaze, Red Velvet, Apple Fritters and Maple Bacon

Price came out to $22-23 for 6 donuts. The donuts I got ranged from $3.5 to +$4 each. I expect a lot from a donut that is over $3 to almost $5 each. They are a good donut but price wise I’d say worth half what they sell for.

We are from out of town and wanted to find a better than your grocery store kind of donut. This is the place. I would put it up there with the other gourmet specialty donut shops like Voodoo Donuts, Blue Star and The Donut Bar. Loved the variety of flavors (and your classics too!) The staff were so friendly and the donuts were worth every Penny. My personal favorites were the chocolate cronut and the strawberry mochi.

Amazing donuts. You can order their staple flavors in several different styles, which is really fun. Also they have kolaches! This place is not to be missed if you like donuts and are in/around Scottsdale.

Traditional, funky fresh, you name it, they’ve got it! From speciality flavors like PB&J, Creme Brulee, and Fruity Pebbles, to traditional glazed and cake donuts, this place serves it up with an easy smile. The motto is Mahalo and in addition to the delicious flavors, they’ve got cute stickers to boot! (The turtle donut sticker sells out the same day they arrive) When we were in the area, there was heavy construction going on the front of the building but The Local Donut is still open and operational – just watch your step!

We tried the Strawberry Shortcake, the Cinnamon Crumb, and of course, the glazed traditional. Worth checking out and getting your sweet fix if you’re in the area!

These donuts are pricey but the price you pay is so worth the experience you get. These donuts are fluffy and taste amazing.
They look amazing and taste even better!!

Great selection, kind attentive staff, the dough is SO GOOD. Happy to have found this place while on Scottsdale for work.

Nothing new that hasn’t already been said!! Visiting from out of town. Family wanted donuts and I like to support ‘local’ shoppes so I bypassed a Dunk… store and hit this one. Came back with a dozen. They were gone so fast I had to go back and get a second dozen, LOL!! Nice folks. Highly recommended. My son and sister-in-law enjoyed the Mochi donuts also.

I love donuts. I search for donuts everywhere I go. I live in NYC area and have tried most of the famous places, I have a local spot I love with some great donuts (and sadly more and more national attention), but the best donut I’ve ever had was from local donut.

The cinnamon crunch donut is perfect. It’s a perfectly cooked donut. Not too greasy, light and fluffy yeasted dough, and a perfect topping. It is perfectly covered with the crunch on all sides and is a nice fine dusting so each bite is the same. It is sweet but not overly such and the cinnamon plays a focal role without being overwhelming. They had lots of fancy things but this was the best.
