The Donut Man Reviews

I have seen this placed being mentioned in various YouTube LA food tour videos, so I tried this world famous fruit donut. To my surprise, it’s not super sweet, which I really appreciate. Donut is crunch and yummy, and strawberry’s freshness gives a reconciled taste to the fried donut. This is a well balanced product. Hope I can try their peach donut in July.

This place definitely brings a mixture of decadent donuts with messy goodness. The prices are somewhat high per donut but this is a great place to treat yourself or your coworkers. It’s conveniently located in Grand Central Market. *beware the bees, these little guys are attracted to the sweet smell, but the didn’t bother me or the workers and add a bit of charm to the place.

This place gets recommended a lot as a must try in LA. As a donut lover, clearly I had to stop.
I wish we would have been here when they had their fresh fruit donuts (strawberry and peach) that they’re known for, but neither is in season in November.
They had a lot of donuts that looked good though. Since there was a lot to try at the market, we went with just one donut: the PB&J.
It was one freaking delicious donut. I loved the raspberry glaze and the peanut butter filling.
I’d definitely go back for more, especially to try one of the fresh fruit ones!

This is a must try if you are visiting LA. The long line is worth the wait and speaks for itself. The world famous fresh fruit donuts are mouthwatering and absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to return to LA so I can try more of them.

Located across from Eggslut in Grand Central Market DTLA; not a ton of variety or unique kinds or flavors but what they do make is very good, moist, delicious, fluffy, sweet but not candy sweet; strawberry stuffed doughnuts are their signature item; other standards are good; friendly, hard working staff; support your local small businesses

***Note*** February to July are when the awesome strawberry donuts are available. Out of that season they’ll have the peach donuts. First stall on the left side of the market. Staff are really friendly and there’s a good selection of items out by around 915am while other stalls are still setting up.

I got to the market late and wandered around before circling by this place. The donuts don’t look like anything special in the display but the cheap prices on the board made it pretty hard to walk away without trying at least 1, or 4 items. All the basic ones run for about 1.50 while the specialty ones range from $2 to $6. They’re apparently super famous for their fresh fruit donuts which were currently strawberry and peach. I’m also not a fan of the overly sweet desserts and the fruit in the middle seemed covered in syrup which is never my go-to so I went with their basic raised rounds instead. We got the regular glazed and a maple glazed.
Listen, I was blown away with how good this was. It’s the right amount of sweet, with the dough crispy enough to hold its shape with the inner layers moist and decadent. I finished my share and was still wanting to go in for more. 10/10 Would recommend.

Pricing, great! Texture, perfect! Service, excellent! All around delicious donut. We got an original glazed and a maple glazed cruller. They were light, airy but with a little bit of chew. Also, not greasy at all. Definitely recommend a visit.

Absolutely delicious, I’m a huge fan of donuts and The Donut Man is the spot. The flavors are amazing. I’m from NY and I’d make a trip to LA just to get those donuts.
