Review is only based on the pies I have not had any of their other products. Amazing pies and lots of variety. Had the Michigan Sour Cherry pie and it was delicious. Friendly service and affordable prices on the pies compared to most. Pies are almost all in the $15-$20 range which is very affordable. Soft and crunchy crust with good flavor. Try them out you won’t regret it!! I can’t wait to come back only wish I lived closer!!!

I did an order for 30 cupcakes, a variety of all the flavors. They looked and tasted good, about a level higher than pre-boxed cupcakes from a retailer IMO, but my coworkers raved about them, so a solid 3.5-4 for taste. The location is nice and has street parking so it can be easy or hard to find a spot. The only thing I will have to keep in mind is that the lemon and vanilla with vanilla frosting look very similar and unless you know the difference in frostings by appearance (not the average cupcake eater does) it was a toss up of which was which so some people got lemon expecting vanilla and vise versa.

Thank you for doing such an excellent job with our wedding cake this weekend! We ordered a small tiered cake for cutting and a full sheet cake for guests — both lemon cakes with lemon cream cheese frosting. So many guests came up to us and said they LOVED the cake. The cakes were affordable, simple, and delicious — exactly what we asked for! Everyone at the bakery was so easy to communicate with as well. We highly recommend Sarah Janes!

I just stopped by here for the first time today and picked up their chocolate frosted cake donuts. Hannah at the register was very helpful and helped explain some of the history of the place to me. Apparently they’ve been around for 100 years and they got a new owner five years ago but the recipes haven’t changed very much since it was founded 100 years ago. The owner was also working today and was helping out at a register next to the one I was at. She was very efficient at getting people in and out of the place. I’m very satisfied with how the cake donut tasted and the friendly customer service that I received.

Some of the best doughnuts in town. Not fancy designer doughnuts, but the classics. Great pies and cakes. Their signature Rhubarb Crispier are worth the trip. My favorite place for bars.

I really like this place, their apple fritters are amazing! I have had a number baked goods from this place and they have all been wonderful. The doughnuts have been soft and not over baked and full of flavor. The staff are nice and helpful as well.
