Great, fresh donuts that are so light and tasty. If you are there falrly early, you will see that they have a huge variety of donuts and so many wonderful, oversized cinnamon buns, knots and delicious apple fritters. ♡
The biggest plus is the pleasant, happy people that wait on you!!! ♡
Now, what could be better for a family morning donut run? I just don’t know.♡

Arrived a little after 8am and there were still plenty of options. I got the sour cream and cake w/ cherry glaze. Both tasted fresh and wonderful. Our service was excellent. The woman who helped us was pleasant. She was on the phone with someone and apparently she had messed up an order. She handled herself humbly offering to deliver a new dozen herself after she got off work.

Not for the people who wake late never been before thought I would try it. Stopped by at 10am only for them to have a very small selection to choose from.. basically the scraps the early birds didn’t get. Only around 3 dozen left at the time of visit.. not a great selection… left empty handed.
Hours not great for people who work or can’t get in at the Crack of dawn.
Seems as though they make only a certain amount and when they out they out and don’t stay stocked or even close to stocked what they make in morning seems to be all they make for the day. I dunno..
Would of loved to try them Huge donut fan here !! But guess I will never know! there is no way I could ever get in there before 10am anyways

We love Ray’s! I know some people like their cake donuts, but the yeast raised donuts are where it’s at. Fluffy, not overly greasy, and they have a nice selection of pastry options. Show up early if you can; the selection thins out the later in the morning it gets.

It’s the original recipe for Lamar’s donuts. So it’s gonna be great tasting donuts if your a KC native, you know them. After a couple of them, you’ll be fat and happy, needing a nap.
