Maple Leaf Donuts Reviews

Moved to thos neighborhood not long ago and there are 3 donut places within my reach here.
This one may not have the fanciest decor etc but in my 65 years of professional donut eating experience it has the best tasting donuts with that reach radius.
Plus customer service from the lovely ladies who work there is outstanding. Don’t judge this shop from the exterior A+ donuts A+ service. Take it from “the donut pro”.

This Doughnut shop has been in business for as long as I can remember and yet this is my first time in, why? Don’t really know, just never stopped in. As I walked in I was immediately hit with nostalgia, old school booth seating and counter stools!! “So kool” and old clock in the wall “the kind that all diners had in the 70s” and a smell from the fryer’s that I haven’t smelled in year “such great memories”
I ordered a Apple Fritter $2 and a decaf coffee $1.50, the Fritter was cooked crispy on the outside and soft in the center “could not ask for anything better” the coffee was smooth and not bitter “ also ver nice”
They also serve and array of sandwiches as well as bananas and hard-boiled eggs. For your coffee they have half/half, milk and even brown sugar.
For you early birds they open at 4am.

Nice place is small and not fancy but has good donuts, good coffee and ok breakfast sandwiches which I tried. They also have lunch menu sandwiches but i haven’t try those yet so far is good. I like it because is affordable compare to other fancier coffee shops that charge you so much. I would say I’m pretty much a regular.

A winner of multiple regional awards for donut excellence over decades, out-of-area friends I have introduced to the place regularly ask me to get them some when I visit them. Truly memorable quality… fluffy but not excessively airy.

This is truly the most lovely place. The husband/wife owners are just fabulous. They remember their customers and their orders and they have A LOT to remember.

The BEST donuts in the bay. Most donut shops do one type of donut well, every donut here is the best version of that donut. I’m particularly fond of the cinnamon twists, maple bars, and cake donuts.

Their croissants are AMAZING! As are their bagels.

Need a breakfast sandwich? Best in the bay, hands down. So delicious.

Need a croissant or bagel deli sandwich? Check and amazing!

Need a Thai iced tea or vietnamese coffee? Check.

This place is just sheer joy and perfection.

While the business and owners practice COVID safety exceptionally well, I have noticed the customers are not as respectful which is always unfortunate to see.

Nice warm donuts, nice warm smiles, nice hot coffee. Coffee is as good as Starbucks, across the street. They also sometimes have croissants. The shop is open every morning, and closes whenever they run out of donuts, usually before noon. This place is VERY clean, and is so retro it is almost cool. The donuts are regular donuts, at a reasonable price, not strange concoctions. I like the “old fashioned” and the plain glazed.

This place has the best donuts in the morning and the best prices. I hope it always stays here and never changes. It is run by a hardworking family. I have enjoyed their donuts for over 30 years. Businesses like this one are essential to the local community.

Standard donut shop. It’s a little dingy but it’s old. I don’t see the older couple that used to run the place anymore. The youngsters that took over have added breakfast sandwiches to the menu. Maybe that’s good.

Used to LOVE this place. They had the BEST damn donuts for miles (yes, better than Stans!). New ownership (and a missing sign) has led to mixed results. Mostly good, but a few times the donuts were just ok. Still worth the stop.

Bought a couple different flavors to get a feel for this shop. To be honest the donuts were quite bland. Shop owner was nice and prices were good, but I would rather go down the street to Rose Cafe instead.
