Wow these are tasty. Couldn’t resist getting one of just about each available option for the whole family. So far, I have tried the guava filled and the macadamia cream and these are heavenly, especially when warm as they are given to you. We arrived around 3:30 on a Friday and we waited a total of about 30 minutes from the line to order until pickup. Well worth the wait though. Gonna enjoy these the next few days if they last that long!

Really good pastries that live up to the hype. Crispy on the outside and light fluffy on the inside. Definitely recommend getting a mix of the original and the puff fillings. Two per person is plenty to fill you up. Eating them hot and fresh makes it so much better! Line was wrapped around the building but moved super fast. If the parking lot is full, we noticed a couple families park across the street at the Safeway.

Check your order before you leave. I did not check and didn’t have all of my order. My fault, and it wasn’t worth it to go back. (This is why the three stars)
We got here at 7:15am on a Sunday and waited about 45 min from getting in line to being handed our order. About 8:15am the line had doubled and began wrapping around and down the neighboring street. Just be aware of possible long wait times.
Personally I would prefer a regular donut, but for what these are they are very yummy! They are served hot and fresh. We tried one of each for a taste test. The cinnamon sugar and custard filled ones were my personal favorites. The seasonal passion fruit filled one was good. The others were alright, not bad, just didn’t love them personally. The sweet and sour one was gross to me, but that’s just a personal opinion.

I’m in love with this place! We went right at open on a Monday and there was no line. Definitely get a classic donut but I also love the guava donut! Many unique flavors with an older diner feel.

Definitely worth the hype! The line was long but it moved fast, overall around 10 mins waiting time, plus there is a visitors parking lot.
We got all the flavors, they were all so great. The Malasadas are crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and they have a chewy light texture that’s so good when it’s warm
The custard cream, macadamia and guava fillings are divine! Cinnamon sugar is excellent as well, please stop by!

I really need 10 stars to do this place justice. I am not a doughnut fan, but was told I needed to try this place. Phenomenal! They make your order fresh while you wait. There is TONS of filling inside. The texture and flavors were wonderful. The line loved quickly and it was worth every minute. Just be sure to have cash or an ID to use a card.

The malasadas are very soft, freshly made, many flavors, and delicious My kids and I loved them. We went about 9am during the week and waited about 5min in line and another 5 to get our order. It was pretty quick. They have other breakfast bites and coffee options. Leonard’s bakery worth the wait!

I just beat the rush but there was maybe 10 customers in front of me. The wait was minimal. The food was great. They do a really good job at keeping those lines moving. Excellent service. If you’re looking for a large selection, probably not here. Decent size selection; but what they do they do well. Would definitely recommend

So the first few days you are in Waikiki you have that jet lag and wake up at 5am. Instead of trying to go back to sleep, put on those walking shoes and head to Leonard’s Bakery. You will not be disappointed.
Those are some killer pastries. I could have done without the Portuguese sausage, but the pastries were worth the walk. One or 2 are enough to fill you up, but I got a half dozen to try all the different flavors. Nearly sent me into sugar shock. They are much better warm than cold also.
Eat em while the are fresh.
2 thumbs up for Leonard’s.

Easily, the best donuts I’ve ever had. We ordered the cinnamon and original donuts. Both were piping hot, right out of the oven. They were light, fluffy, and full of good donut taste. Some of the original had a cream filling which added to the donut experience. Please make sure to stop by. Lines could be long, but well worth it.
