Kolache Factory Reviews

This was my first visit and very possibly my last. Three of us went to grab what we thought was a quick bite to eat on 9/10/21 around 11:15 AM. The cashier, Kemba was not customer friendly and moved at a very slow pace. The store was out of many of the kolaches we saw online. I chose a cheese steak, an Italian chicken kolache and a cinnamon bun. The food was very flavorful. I only wish the roll was filled with more of the topping because you get a lot of bread which is tasty… but I wanted more filling. The cinnamon bun was delicious. My friend’s orange cranberry muffin was good but her steak kolache was practically all bread. The drive thru appeared to be moving at a very fast pace. Inside was a waste of time.

nice buy

I think the people that work there wish they were somewhere else. As far as the food we ordered, there was very little resemblance of meat or filling – it was all bread! Mostly what we asked for was out of stock. Poor cleanliness. I was originally going to dine-in, but after looking at the tables, I decided I didn’t want to sit down and stare at the crumbs and stains from previous customers. The cashier was hardly welcoming, and clearly had no idea about or motivation for her job. Definitely won’t be coming back, unless we are desperate to feed the birds and are out of all other bread or seed options.

Came at 9 in the morning. My first time trying Kolache factory. The counter lady was pleasant. The Kolaches themselves tasted good. The savories are great for breakfast.
Would definitely be back!

IThe food was average but very disappointing compared to what I got at the original store in Houston. The ham and cheese were particularly disappointing because I could not taste or even see any cheese. Not bad food just way off the mark from what I remember in Houston.

I went here a few years back and their hours back then were weird times. I had the cinnamon roll kolache and the bacon and egg kolache. This kolache is from the Czech republic and is their pastry which is almost like a round hot pocket filled with the goodies it describes. They were quite tasty though.

Would I go back? I haven’t, but I wouldn’t mind giving it another go!

Went to grab some kolaches on 6-24-22 as we had family in town. The lady inside was very rude and did not seem happy that we came inside. They were out of so many items and still had 4 hours before closing time. We ordered $25 worth of stuff and I should have just thrown that money in the trash. Items were not good at all and had very little flavor or filling, if anything it was mostly bread. I have been several times and items were ok but this was ridiculous. Will absolutely not go back as it was a total waste of time, gas and money. These people need to step it up. Also I had a coupon they gave me from a prior visit for a free kolache but they would not even honor it saying it was a promotion.

A word of caution, don’t use the online ordering. We ordered an assortment of fruit and a few different egg kolache and the only pickup time available was 1:24 pm(an hour after I placed the order.) We showed up at around 1:25 and no one said a word to us when we walked in. There was someone helping the other customer that was there, and after a few minutes someone came over to help me. When I told her I was there to pick up my online order she said “Uhhh…..gimme 10 minutes.” I sat down, pretty annoyed that they had a whole hour to put our order together. She then told us that they were out of a couple varieties that we ordered. Again….that shouldn’t be the case because we had placed our order an HOUR ago. We waited while our order was packed and she asked if we wanted the egg kolache heated. We said yes and she put the kolache in the microwave and walked away. A few minutes later another employee brought over our fruit kolache and asked if we were waiting for something else. We told him that our other box was heating up. He looked inside a couple of microwaves and then found ours in the third….not heated. It seems the other employee put them in and didn’t heat them. The whole experience really left a bad taste in our mouth. I will say, while the egg kolache were mediocre, the fruit ones are outstanding. There definitely needs to be training in place and a manager on site….or if there was a manager there needs to be a better one. Everyone seemed to be in no hurry to do anything and no one seemed to know what’s going on.

Kolache are always a great quick and great tasting snack or meal if you order multiple. They have something for everyone, several sweet and savory options to choose from.

I first learned about Kolache Factory last summer, but didn’t have a chance to check it out until this summer when we took an impromptu overnight trip to VaBeach for my birthday. The next day, after checkfung out of our hotel, we were all hungry for some brunch and were trying to decide where to go before heading back to Williamsburg. That’s when I remembered about Kolache Factory. A quick Google search for us directions and 20 minutes later when we’re sitting down to tuck into a variety of warm, soft, savory and sweet goodies. The cranberry muffin was good-not-great. The peach Kolache was our less favorite item. The ranchero and ham & egg were delicious, as was the bacon, egg & cheese. The sausage, jalapeno & cheese was too spicy for my son. The cinnamon roll was huge- and delicious. All three of us enjoyed it. The coffee was acceptable, but my wife is not a coffee drinker and lamented the absence of any black hot tea. Just various, no doubt tasty, herbal teas. But she wanted something caffeinated. I strongly suggest including some English or Irish breakfast tea to your selection. All in all, a very tasty and enjoyable experience.

Went at 7 am on a Tuesday…should be prime time but they only had 4 Spinach left, no cream cheese, I couldn’t even make a dozen out of the flavors I wanted. Really need to be ready for rush hour!
