Yesterday was my first time in Donut Den. Andrew waited on me. When he found out that I was a teacher in the Green Hills area, he said, “Let me fix you up.” And boy did he ever! He said, “Teachers don’t get enough recognition and love!” I shared his kindness with the teachers at school when I got there. He’s made a regular customer out of me. The donuts are the best in town, but the service is even better. Andrew, you’re the best! Thank you so much for taking such good care of a bunch of tired teachers on a Friday morning!

Classic donuts, great and at a reasonable price. They have coffee and some other things as well. The staff is very friendly. I also like the size of their standard donut, it’s not huge so I still feel good after having one or two.

Fox’s Donut Den is an Old-fashioned style business creating classic donuts & pastries since 1973, and of course coffee is available. I had the traditional old fashioned donut and it was delicious. Definitely a homemade feel, not a supermarket variety creation. The service was very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable of the products, their recommendation was spot on. Their famous Apple Fritter was suggested, but I would be turning my back on my home town Hilton, New York’s culinary staple. Be sure to stop in and while you are there check out their novelty collectibles, and some Mayberry’s Finest Products. Jams, Pickles, Coffees & Bacon. Purchase one of those and your donut or pastries is free. Tell Noah, that I sent you.

Was watching the Circle network channel up in New England back home. They aired a short segment on the Donut Den.
When we went to Nashville we knew we had to hunt them down.
And we did. We told the cashier about seeing them on Circle network.
She went back and got the owner. Real native Nashvillians. He wasn’t thrilled about the sin city that Broadway has turned into.
BUT the donuts and pastries are delicious.
One of our best stops in Nashville.
You got to try it.

Nice donuts, not the freshest, but I came in at 11:50am, so I wouldn’t expect too much better. I was roundly ignored for a literal 5 minutes standing at the counter waiting to make an order. Finally a customer sitting down at a bench asked them to serve me! The ladies continued to ignore me! Finally after several requests, a guy counting change, took my order. When 2 white ladies came in next, I was shocked to see that they were super attentive. Weird, maybe innocent, but a bad look!

WOW, the apple fritters are the best I’ve eaten! They are works of art, and authentic apple fritters. You know, with chunks of apple in every bite, and the whole fritter just a bunch of gnarly lumps of dough that tear apart. Wonderful glaze….outstanding!

Amazing and completely unchanged unlike most everything else in Nashville. Every time I go in it’s just like I walked over from my high school next door twenty years ago. Keep it up! I’m glad there is still some authentic Nashville somewhere.

The service was excellent and maybe the best custard donut I’ve ever had. I’ve never been so they made sure I got an Apple fritter. Holy cow. I’ll for sure be returning every time I visit nashville.
