I’ve been going here since they opened at this location. Great bread, great cakes. Lots of unique and interesting combinations that you won’t find anywhere else. Not cheap but definitely worth it! Customer service was a little rude today over the phone and the lady hung up on me so idk what was going on there… they’re always nice when we go in, but I just had a little question and she gave me an “oh please” “duh” attitude.

The service of this bakery is terrible. They cancelled one item in my order without telling me in advance and returned the refund to a wrong account. I asked them to fix it and they told me rudely that they couldn’t reverse the transaction and they were not responsible for the mistake. The quality of their product is declining. Less filling, smaller buns. Will never buy from this bakery again.

Checked out this new bakery in the neighborhood.. it is really nice that they offer samples for each so you get to try them before buying. These are not cheap for the size but they are different.. to me, they taste just alright..not like omg I gotta come back again 🙂

Duke’s bakery is a treasure! The bread flavoring is subtle, and the texture is smooth and melty. Nothing is overly sweet, and many of the breads are adventurous. I enjoyed my first taste of Durian in their bread, which impressed me greatly. Give this bakery a try!!!!

This is a nice little gem of a bakery. It is sort of typical of your average Asian bakery, but they do a bit more. We have tried several breads, and my favorite, by far, is the garlic bread. It sells out quickly, so get here early if you want that.
They also do some unique snacks like a mochi cake sort of thing. Its pretty good. I didn’t remember to follow directions, so the mochi was harder than I’d like. Next time, I will do as I’m told!
So far, we haven’t found anything we really don’t like from Duke’s. But, if it comes up, I’ll update this review. Enjoy!

I went to the Irvine store today and realized their price seems higher than other locations. I asked the cashier and the lady was so rude and impatient! I decide not be back anymore! I just check Weee, their price is 50 cents cheaper! I will buy from Weee!

First time visiting here. Tiny yet nice bakery. I got soft garlic ($4) & uji matcha bread ($4.50).
However, I gave 4 stars because of the matcha bread. I love match. I’m a match monster. When I took a bite, I taste a strong fragrance. Fragrance! I tried the garlic bread, it tasted like normal garlic bread and I liked it. I came back to matcha and ate the bread part only. It was fine. So sadly it was the matcha filling that had this fragrance.
I wondered if a lady with perfume made the filling Or it could be its normal taste but not for me

I love this bakery, especially their counter lady is always kind and smiling. But I found something could be serious today. I was in hurry so I didn’t actually paying attention and I don’t bother to skip the receipt. And I got the receipt from the text message as picture shown… I’d never give $2.5 tip for 3 bread, and that’s buy-and-go type bakery, no one is servicing.
I hope this is not affecting their reputation of bread quality and good image, their product is much better than other bakeries in the area. But seeing the text msg. receipt with 2.5 tip without my consent is really feeling like… ripped off.
