I used to come to this donut shop all the time when i lived in the area. They’ve never been super friendly but not obvertently rude either until today. I walked in and went up to the counter, lady acted like i wasn’t even there even though she looked right at me. No hello, good morning, nothing. I paid for my donuts just as a hispanic lady walked in. I’m still standing there waiting for my donuts and my receipt and she greeted the hispanic lady with “good morning” and proceeded to take her order. She didn’t even have the decency to hand me my donuts or even indicate that we were done with OUR transaction before helping some else. I’m not one to make everything into a race issue, but when it is, it is. There is no other explanation as to why I (a black woman) wasn’t greeted when I walked in (as the only customer in the shop) but the hispanic lady gets welcomed into the store. I will not be returning. I prefer to spend my money somewhere where I’m treated like a valued customer, yes, even at a donut shop.
