Best donut shop in town, hands down. Great, family-owned, local business with amazing variety and selection. My daughter loves the red donut holes in particular, I’m the most fond of the apple fritters the size of your face.

This place makes the best donuts in Iowa. Highly recommended to stop at. The guy running the store is an absolute gem. This place has been running for a few decades. And still has the best quality donuts in town. All his sweets are amazing.

Donut Hut’s donuts are my family’s absolute favorite in the Des Moines area. The cherry and blueberry cake donuts are among our favorite, along with the apple fritters. We’ve never tried anything we didn’t like, but even if we had, I know it would be made right because of their excellent customer service. Honestly, even if they had mediocre donuts, being greeted by Al, the owner would make the visits worth it. He greets everyone with a huge smile and treats them like a regular. When my kids come in with me, they’re promptly given a free donut hole. This place is a gem. Keep it up, Al!

Our usual bakery was closed and my daughter was crushed so I looked up the next closet one and we will definitely be back! The owner was extremely nice and the place was clean. Donuts were fresh and delicious.

Decent donuts. The filled ones had little filling for the size of the donuts. The oreo on the oreo donut was like chocolate cake no crisp or cruch, it still tasted ok.

The best donuts in Des Moines! Our church provides them every Sunday before each service and when we landed on a donut theme for my daughters birthday I knew I wanted them from the Donut Hut! They have very reasonable prices and are really friendly to work with.
