Devout Coffee Reviews

The Fremont Podcast

Devout coffee provides the best coffee with excellent craftsmanship and service. They truly seem to demonstrate a devotion to each part of the coffee experience. Whether it’s a cup of drip coffee or a shot of espresso or a special seasonal drink, each one is prepared with careful attention. I love the fact that it was founded and is owned by local Fremont natives. I think it’s the best coffee in Fremont if not the whole east bay.

Located in Niles, Fremont(older part of Fremont, which was the city where Silent Films were made). Outstanding niche coffee shop, with farm to table and precision coffee and espresso drink making. They have a High end, Probat coffee roaster, which allows them to fine tune their bean and producing excellent flavors. You have the choice of specialty teas, drip coffees, or espresso drinks. I tried their cafe mocha, which I provided a great taste of their delicious coffee beans: earthy taste, hint of unsweetened chocolate, not sweet. Definitely not your Starbucks drink, but high end espresso drinks.
I recommend their ham and cheese croissant, crispy outer shell, generous amounts of ham and cheese.

Fabulous little coffee shop in a unique older part of Fremont that features antique shops and a park. The outdoor area is pretty big and gets LOTS of sunshine. They sell standard coffee drinks as well as whole beans. I recommend the mocha, it’s delicious!

An excellent menu of pourover coffees. When you find one (or three) that you like, pick up a bag so you can have it at home too. Often quite busy but the baristas are efficient at their jobs

Devout coffee is, in my opinion, the best coffee shop in the bay area. Their coffee has a nice full and earthy flavor. They never overheat or overaerate the milk when steaming it. The place that supplies their pastries is very good. Their beans are very good.

If you are in Union City or Fremont and like coffee… you should stop here.

Good atmosphere, easy to find parking. Coffee is okay and no indoor seating. Worth working there though. Wi-Fi didn’t work either.

Extremely well in-house roasted coffee. They sell a variety of single origin beans, and highly recommend their cold brew concentrate to take home! The Nile’s area is also very cute.

So traditional coffee in entire bay area…love the ambience and environment.

Kevin Short

Minimalist coffee shop, which is refreshing to see. We sat outside out back. There was a steady trickle of local folks coming in to get their cup of joe, so I can only assume Devout has a solid customer base. I wouldn’t mind going back and buying some beans one day to check out their product again. Nice job!

The espresso is awesome here good extraction and the coffee beans are roasted there very peculiar flavor, really good baristas very nice and they know their thing, latte art is neat too!
The bad thing is they don’t have savory food just pastries but thay is ok. The place has a patio to sit and enjoy
