Despi Delite Bakery Reviews

Great place for big-size donuts, cakes, cookies, and pork rinds. Yes, that’s right pork rinds; regular and salt & vinegar.

I headed to downtown Seattle through Beacon Hill, so it was a good stop for sweets. The ladies serving the customers were friendly and wonderful.

There’s a small seating area inside the bakery, and there’s a bench in the front. If you’re in the area give this place a try you’ll like it. There are enough sweets for everyone.

Thanks for reading this review. Please follow me to good places to eat on youtube under LEE THOEUN.

Hidden (to some) gem of Seattle. I agree with some of the reviews that certain items are very sweet. However, it is pretty easy to dodge those if that’s not what you’re in for. The ube bread is out of this world though!! My friends got me the ube cake for my bday, definitely a crowd pleaser.

Donuts, croissants, and cookies are delicious! Sometimes a little too sweet for me, but the kids enjoy it so much. We love the portions of everything they have, and the ladies who work here are always very sweet. We ordered a pandan cake here a few months back, and it was one of the best we’ve ever had. Cute little place for a sweet treat.

My family has been enjoying these delicious donuts and Filipino treats for decades. Today we bought just a few bits of deliciousness

Get there early in the day for best selection! Yummy cakes and pastries. Sandwiches are great but selection is limited after lunch hour.

Delite Bakery has been a staple in my life since I was a young child, even before they were located in this current building. Their pastries are always fresh and delicious. They are also so much cheaper than local coffee shop prices.

The people are friendly as well. If I’m not mistaken, the owners are Filipino so they offer some items that may be hard to find elsewhere. Go early in the morning if possible for the best selection.

Omg Best Old Fashioned Donuts $1.50
Each. They are a little bit oversized.
They only have them on Fridays and Saturdays. Bummer. Crispy on the outside is the best!

The red velvet cupcakes and cookies n cream cheesecake are soooooo good. I would’ve posted a pic but they did not last that long . They also make amazing cakes. Highly recommend.

I hadn’t been to Despi Delite for a few years, but was in the area and stopped in. They are a Filipino bakery that has been around for a long time. I see a lot of their baked goods all around at Seattle grocery stores. I visited Despi Delite after 2pm on a Friday afternoon and was the only customer there. They had a lot of choices still available. They had donuts, cakes, cookies, Mexican breads and pastries, cheesecakes, etc. After processing all of the choices, I ended up getting a peanut and almond cream cookie sandwich as well as a slice of ube cake. I don’t know what to call the peanut almond cream cookie sandwich but it was almost like a nutter butter with softer, lighter cookies and cream on top and crushed peanuts on top. The texture was somewhat strange and while I would not get it again, I appreciated the peculiarity of the dessert. As for the ube cake, it was amazing. It was a deep purple and the cake was moist and sweet with ube flavor. The cream was also rich but not too sweet as well. I will definitely return, the parking lot makes it a lot easier to visit.

Some of the very best Filipino pastries and cakes in the Seattle area. If anyone knows a better bakery let me know, I love doughnuts and pastries and the best part is sharing them with family and friends.
