A cute little donut shop right near downtown Des Moines. We came late and they didn’t have much of a selection. However we ended up getting the apple fritters and they were pretty good even two days later when we finally got around to eating them. I would definitely go back here to try more things. Check it out if you’re ever in the area.

Secondhand review from my wife and daughter since I can’t eat em (Celiac). They got Bavarian and lemon filled long johns (which are filled fresh when you order), a bear claw, a devil’s food, and an apple fritter. The fritter was apparently the best of the batch, even though they raved about all of them.

We stopped by this no frills donut shop to abandon a New Year’s resolution to cut back on the carbs. It’s a small storefront with a half dozen tables in an area of Des Moines where new residential apartment buildings are popping up, just adjacent to Downtown.
We tried the classic glazed, which did not disappoint. The chocolate twist was standard. The cinnamon roll was the fan favorite.
Next time we will probably request a filling — like the Bavarian or the white fluffy lemon.

It’s ok at best. Donuts on the small side and too crisp on the bottoms. Taste was again just ok. Service meh but not great. Never really said hi or asked if we had been there before.

I’m 53 years old and I just ate the best donut of my life. Granted I was there 3 minutes after they opened at 5:30am but WOW! A fluffy pillowy ring of happiness! Coffee is good to.

Great tasting, fresh and soft. Answered all our questions with no attitude and seemed very helpful and nice. Love the fact that they don’t use any corn syrup in any of the items we asked about.

Our last hurrah of vacation: we got an apple fritter, a cake donut, a raised donut—all of them 10/10 delicious! Everyone was so friendly and kind. The donut shop smells wonderful, is super clean, and the donuts are beautiful as well as tasty. We will definitely make this place a new tradition! Thanks for making our last day in Des Moines so special!!

Not only are these some of the best donuts in Des Moines, but my peanut-allergy kid can eat here without worry since they don’t use any peanuts. Definitely try a cronut!
