Casual Friday Donuts Reviews

Brent Reser

On the morning of Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, I experienced Casual Friday Donuts in the Spokane Valley for the first time. I went inside to place my order and was assisted by Audrey who was really nice and helpful. Because the old fashioned donut I purchased was small, she added an additional old fashioned donut to our box at no extra charge. In addition to the old fashioned donut I also picked out a maple bar, chocolate sprinkle (called a “Homer” in honor of the Simpsons), apple fritter, and a raised donut filled with a peanut butter-type icing. All donuts have their own prices and my order totaled $14.95.

I brought the donuts home and presented them to my wife as it was her birthday. She was really pleased but graciously shared them with me. I tried the raised donut, the apple fritter, and the maple bar. All three donuts were delicious, fresh, and filling. The raised donut was especially filling and the peanut butter icing was a nice touch. Believe it or not, the maple bar was probably my favorite. Overall we were satisfied with Casual Friday Donuts. Of course you are going to pay more than you would at a grocery store bakery but for a special treat every now and then I think that is okay. Our family tradition is to always pick up donuts on the morning of birthdays so we will return to Casual Friday.

A quick stop at Casual Friday Donuts on Division St. Friendly staff, Really good donuts, the chocolate/Oreo and M&M donuts are huge! The best one though was the Coca-Cola glazed donut. I got it because it was something different, glad I did. Not too sweet, and definitely tastes like the pop.
Get there early!

Really good soft donuts! They also have a drive-through. A must try, but get there early because they definitely sell out quick! Kid and adult approved! The staff is really nice and quick.

The donuts are great. The maple bar is my favorite in Spokane so far. I stopped this morning and got an iced caramel mocha and a white chocolate Cold brew with cream along with 2 breakfast burritos. The food was hot and fresh, my cold brew was missing the white chocolate so I just added sugar at home. My total was 27 dollars and some change which I thought was quite steep.

Good donuts but bad customer service. Called to inquire about a custom donut for my daughters birthday, woman on phone was very curt and rude. Didn’t seem willing to help or have a desire to try to make reasonable accommodations to help me given the short notice of needing before Thursday (just a single donut). My fault for waiting too long but just overall poor customer service and it’s not the first interaction I have had there that hasn’t been stellar. I’ll be taking my business to Retro Donuts

I’m New to Spokane and a huge donut lover!! Lol. have been wanting to try this place out for months and finally did today. The girl working was so Sweet, Friendly and Personable. Excellent customer service and not to mention ” I love their donuts”!!!! Very fresh, appealing, delicious!!!

I’ve been wanting to try this crossaint donut everyone was raving about for years. Well I was able to finally try it and although this location sold out Sunday morning by 10am, they gave me a coupon for a free donut. The next morning I called and they held 2bof them for me while I made my way to drive there again so I could try my desired donut 🙂 they had great customer service and a wonderful staff.

They’re hit or miss. One donut will be good, but the other will be clearly a day old and almost inedible. That any donut place sells day old donuts, even half a day old donuts, is reason enough to me to never go. And the customer service isn’t great either. All three times I’ve gone in they seem like they don’t want me there lol. So we should all give them what they want and just stop going.

I’ve tried this place 3 times since they opened, and I have been disappointed every time. Their donuts are flat and taste like bad oil. They leave a nasty taste in your mouth. Even grocery store donuts are FAR superior, and they don’t charge $3 per pastry. Skip this place and drive a little farther to donut parade!

They do have real donuts!!! They are so good and fresh!!! The guy at the counter is so nice too. My son would normally just eat the toppings of any donut, but at Casual Friday today he ate most of his donut. These donuts are way bigger than what we get from grocery stores. The place is so nice, especially in the morning.
