Not sure who wrote reviews claiming that the breakfast sandwiches were good. That was a lie they were sitting under a light and thrown into a microwave by what looked like an underage kid. The sandwich was to say the least disgusting and had a weird sour taste. I also bought a dozen donut holes only to find out that they were soggy and disgusting also. Don’t waste your money go else where I’d never come back here.

So many donuts to choose from I can’t help but stand there looking at all the options and taking longer than expected to make a selection. Always happy with whatever I walk out with in my hands. Nice staff. Cool building. Iconic sign. Too easy!

Very convenient location. Great selection in terms of types of donuts and flavors. It is neat watching the jelly be squeezed into jelly donut after stating flavor. It is like made-to-order. Only “but” is the special pricing for half a dozen and dozen donuts. You are restricted to certain donuts and cannot pick a general assortment. I got confused and was corrected a few times before giving up and just paying the difference in cost. Overall, I recommend it but just be aware of mark ups.

I had cream filled donut and that’s decent. I also had croissant. I think those two are ok – I can’t really describe the taste but to me it seems like it’s too “wet” and has funny after taste. Still decent and appreciate that it’s fresh bake daily.

Went there for a quick bite with a friend. I love the large pastry selection. They looked so delicious neither one of us could choose. I went for a buttermilk bar. I thought I would have it to take home but, after one bite, I couldn’t stop eating it. One of the coolest little spots in Hayward with friendly service and some mouthwatering treats

Whenever I get a sugar craving and see donuts, I can’t say no. However, with Tommy’s Donuts, make sure if you do go crazy for donuts you only get what you can finish for that day. Unfortunately I went on a binge and got some extra for the next day and it was pretty stale. I’d like to think that the donuts are made fresh for that day, but because my donuts were pretty stale the next day (even being covered), I’d like to question the freshness.
We got the strawberry cream cheese croissant, cinnamon roll and sugar donuts. Out of the selections, the sugar donut was probably the best selection. Unfortunately my husband couldn’t even finish the strawberry cream cheese croissant. He took 2 bites and ended up tossing it out and wanting something to wash out the flavor. The cinnamon roll wasn’t too bad, but I wish it had a little more cinnamon flavor.
One thing I am pretty disappointed with is the fact they put the 5 products in 2 bags. If I wanted my sugar donut I had to dig and take the cinnamon rolls out on my lap just to retrieve the donut. I felt they could have put it in a smaller box to make it convenient instead of throwing it all in 2 bags.
I give them a star because they’re open to midday on a Sunday. It’s hard to find donut shops open past noon.. and when a donut craving hits it’s hard to find one open.
