Nice staff. Donuts are cold, thick and tasted old. Kolache bread old and tough. Tastes NOTHING like Southern Maid in Shreveport. Definitely not made fresh. Never again. Even the packaging (see pick) is NOT of southern maid’s traditional standards. Anyone giving good reviews must be judging based on character of employees not quality of this location’s SOUTHERN MAID DONUTS!
Update: Called to express my disappointment. Was told that they make the donuts once at 6am and serve the same old donuts all day and charge the same price whether fresh or not! I suggest Southern Maid do like Louisiana’s Southern Maid and make them fresh by the hour or charge discount price for donuts over a couple hours old. Only thing I was offered is a “I’m sorry maam”. Stuck with 11 horrible donuts that are going in the trash. I wont be going back. Definitely gives Southern Maid a bad name.

I really like their donuts. The owners are very nice and friendly. I’ve been going to Southern Maid Donuts since 2003. I don’t go as often as I’d like. Until I get a car I will have to when I am able to go.

Horrible doughnuts! The apple fritter was flat and hard and cooked so long I had to throw it away. The cream filled had a quarter size spot of cream in it. The guy was nice enough but the donuts aren’t worth a dime.

This place sucks! Apple critter was burnt. Donuts don’t taste that great. Didnt have what I wanted This place was horrible. Ill just keeping going to my favorite shop next to walmart their donuts are the best! They made southern maid look really bad.

Very friendly staff but the donuts tatsted more like a day or two old than fresh ones. The pigs in a blanket were horrible. I will not be going back. It was a waste of $12.

I’ve been going to this donut shop since I was a kid and the same super nice family has been running it ever since. The best place for Donuts in Mesquite hands down.

Use to love the donuts here but now the people just seem racist. Won’t go back service at Shipley is much better. No Southern Charm here.

Love coming to this place. Staff is always friendly and as soon i come in they already have my order ready. If i don’t come in for a couple weeks they always ask how i am and where i have been hiding lol
