Best fritters in town. I wish for better coffee options, but it is obvious they specialize in their pastries. Apple fritters are a classic, but be sure to try blue berry, and I think the cherry fritters also have cream cheese.
The cake donuts, long johns, bismarks, holes and bear claws are all average to above average. Quite good, but for me, it is all about their fritters.

My wife and I used to love Dunkin’ Donuts but they closed their lobby due to Covid-19 and the line is always insane. We started going to Rise and Shine and will never go back to Dunkin’ again. Rise and shine are the best donuts in town and the service is always decent. I’d rather support local places anyways. We are pretty sold on their basic glazed and chocolate frosted donuts they are amazing and at times if you’re lucky you can get them when they are still hot. The sugar donuts are great as well. This is a must try.

I ordered donuts for my boyfriend’s birthday and they were amazing. He ate them all in a day, and though I had a very positive customer experience with every employee I interacted with, I have to say that the greatest customer service I received came from Henry. He’s a stellar little employee!

Even though the staff apologized for having been picked over, we were able to get exactly what we wanted in our dozen donuts. Hard to beat the strawberry and long johns.

Was in the drive-thru and asked for the maple bacon donut. Apparently, they didn’t have plain donuts to make then like with so the Asian worker grabbed a glaze donut to demonstrate that they would put the icing and bacon on top of that one. Well, during the process the Caucasian worker (they don’t have name tags on) at the window proceeded to run her fingers on the top of the donut to demonstrate. I accepted this alternative and the Asian worker put the donut in a box for us. I told the Caucasian worker that I didn’t want that donut that they’d both touched because she specifically, was touching everyone’s money. She replied with an attitude, “I didn’t touch it”. I told her I saw her touch it. I was looking right at her. Then she asked me to pull around. I wanted to know how long it would take. She avoided my question and began telling me the process and how quick it was. I asked again, “so, how long?” to which she replied with an attitude, “like one minute.” So I said ok then I’ll wait right here. She rolled her eyes and slammed the serving window in my face. I told the Asian worker about this attitude and horrible customer service and the Caucasian worker stood behind her with the most dismissive tone, “have a nice day. Have a nice day” while the Asian worker kept apologizing for her attitude. The audacity to get an attitude with the customer because YOU aren’t following health protocols and COVID protocols!!! You’re touching everyone’s money with a glove and then touching people’s donuts with that same glove! BEWARE people!

Love this little doughnut place. It is family-run business and they provide excellent customer service. All their donuts are delicious but you need to be early because they do run out quite quickly!

Best donuts in Amarillo! I usually only eat glazed donuts but I love many they carry. The cake donuts are hands down the best!
