Just moved here and needed a great doughnut place to compare with our old one. My husband’s grandfather was an old time baker, so the bar was set high. Ts southern maid reaches.that bar. They are excellent…light, perfectly soft, perfect size. Management was delightful…so friendly.
Finally, after trying so many places, we have found our donut shop. Thanks for making great products . We will be back often.

Fresh donuts in the morning can’t be beat, and the folks there were friendly. They have my favourite type of donut: old fashioned cake blueberry. I’ll be back for another treat for sure!

Edit: I had to change from 5 stars after a recent visit. Recipe has changed dramatically!
This used to be my absolute favorite donut shop ever since I was a kid. They had these light and crispy warm yeast donuts with a thin flakey glaze…yum! But not anymore. The recipe has changed and it’s for the worse. The dough is thick and heavy, the icing is…blah. It’s no different than other donut shops in town – and there are way too many donuts shops around to be so ordinary. Oh well.

Have been eating donuts here since I was 5 years old. 32 years later and these donuts are still my favorite. Used to live a couple minutes away from here growing up. My dad still stops there to get donuts even though we’re in a different city. My son loves them too. 🙂 Their blueberry donuts are great and my favorite has always been the chocolate with rainbow sprinkles.
