We hired The West Side bakery for our wedding event Nov 20, 2021 at Gervasi Vineyard. We had a small cake with a cupcakes and french macarons for our favors. Barb is a pleasure to work with. Everything was delicious. i would definitely recommend and hire again for any future events.

I’ve been here several times and have always had wonderful experiences. They also have some of the best vegan options around. I ordered a birthday cake for an extremely picky boss this week and he was blown away by the carrot cake. Carrot cake is his absolute favorite, he’s tried many, so this is big. The funfetti cake also received many compliments from another birthday event. They just need a gluten free option, my poor husband keeps missing out!

I cannot say enough good things about West Side Bakery!! As just a basis, their cakes are incomparable in taste to any other bakery in town. They are deliciously moist and their buttercream is so light and smooth. Barb made my wedding cake and I asked for her to copy the lace pattern on my dress in the design of the cake. She literally made the cake all that I dreamed of!! She made a design that matched my dress perfectly and looked so beautiful on the cake. It was so worth it to have a unique cake and she is just so talented. Cannot recommend enough!!

I have been going here for years and they have the best cake. If you want to pick up a beautiful and delicious cake without ordering ahead this is the place to do it! They always have a stunning array of cakes that will be the hit of the party. I also love their tiramisu!!

I order a two tier birthday cake for my daughter. It was $237. It wasn’t that good sadly. You would expect that an expensive cake would be flavorful and mind blowing delicious but the cake that I order was nasty. It was dry and you can hardly taste the flavors. It was a chocolate peanut butter cake and a strawberry banana cake. The flavors were nothing unordinary. How could they mess it up?! It was dry and nasty. I don’t know what people are ordering from there that is soo good but it was my first time ordering from there because I saw that the reviews were good. The cake was nasty. They got the decorations wrong and it wasn’t the way I wanted even though I specifically told the lady on the phone how I wanted it to look. I sent them two pics of how I wanted the cake to be decorated and it was easy peasy decoration. How could they get it wrong?! It was so simple!! They decorated the cake a different way. (Eye roll***) Then the lady on the phone told me that there’s a 25% upfront charge for the cake order. I said ok and gave her my credit card number and she charged me full price for it!!! What the heck?!?! Your only suppose to charge my card $59 dollars and if you do an excellent job with my cake then I’ll pay the full difference. I’m so mad at them. I will never go again!

On 10-17-2022, We came into the bakery to purchase some cookies that I tasted 2wks prior. We wasn’t greeted by the 3 ladies behind counter. As we looked at the baked goods in the display and STOOD there the women continued having their conversation and not once asked if we needed help… I even looked at them still nothing… we turned around and preceded to walk out and nothing was said by them as they continued talking about non work related conversations. I never felt so disrespected coming into any establishment as I did today at The Westside Bakery!!!

I’d give The West Side Bakery more than 5 stars if I could. We worked with Barb and her team for our Wedding cake and cupcakes, and the whole process was so easy! They provided us with 3 cakes at our tasting, and we were sold right away! They were SO delicious, and Barb was so friendly. She even worked with me to surprise my husband with a Grooms cake. HIGHLY recommend!

I am not sure who makes the coconut macroons..but there was a long hair in mine. I was so disgusted I almost threw up. I am so disappointed because I love this bakery. The hair was not mine. It was not my hair texture or color. Very disappointing.
