This place is great! The donuts are made fresh when you order (or you can order ahead). You pick the icing, topping, and if you want a drizzle on top for each donut. They also have a selection of “fan favorites” and specialty donuts to pick if the choices are just too much … so thank you for that!
The shop is clean and cute! The staff was friendly and very helpful. They paid obvious attention to hygiene while making the donuts. Totally reasonably priced. I’d definitely recommend stopping in and trying an experimental donut of your own creation or two or six…

Such an adorable donut shop in St. Augustine!!!! You can smell the donuts from the parking lot and are tempted to run in! The Donut experiment makes the donuts fresh to order but you get to pick the frosting, toppings and drizzle. My kids loved being able to pick the toppings and loved the hot and fresh taste. The donuts were tasted great and were a nice experience since they were fresh and crispy. The coffee was piping hot which was nice since it was freezing today. We definitely have to return and try some more flavors and the iced coffee.

The most amazing Donut shop possibly in existence. They literally drop fresh dough in to the oil when you order your donuts. Literally cannot get any fresher. They have a few options of suggested pairings but if you’re feeling creative you can make your very own. You can select your icing or glaze, topping and a drizzle. Super soft and sweet with a nice crunch. I highly suggest eating them warm. They’re so good. We grabbed another box on our way out of town and even 2 days later they are still better than most Donut shops fresh. We stop in every time we are in town and are always looking forward to going back. Amazing staff, amazing donuts. Do your self a favor and give this place a try I garuntee you’ll be back, maybe even in a few hours! – also got their house iced coffee this time and it was also very good!

Hot, fresh donuts any way you want them! They’re fried, dipped, and finished right in front of you. We bought a half dozen so we could bring some back home to our kids, but ended up eating the whole box ♀️.
The maple bacon was our favorite and their coffee is way better than Starbucks or Dunkin. Definitely a MUST-STOP on your way out of town for a sweet treat on the road.

Amazing service and wonderful conversation. This place is a little piece of heaven. The donuts are perfect size and made fresh in front of you. The toppings are endless, and the cake batter donuts are just better in my opinion. I have tried a few of these “boutique” donut places, just to be met with premade generic donuts that are too large and too sweet for my liking and by the time I eat half of one I feel like I have regretted my decision. But this is definitely not the case at the Donut experiment the donuts are perfectly sized where you could eat more than one and they just have a better taste since they’re made fresh in front of you. I can’t wait to go back on my next trip to Saint Augustine. Definitely a must do on any local or tourist list.

Delicious and super friendly! The owners live near us and frequently plan neighborhood donut drop-offs for holidays like Easter and Christmas. We also get two dozen because they go so fast! Their flavors are creative and so tasty, and I like that they’re not HUGE donuts so I can have two and not feel bad We love them!

The thing that sets this doughnut shop apart besides the incredible flavors is that they make them to order and have a ton of options so no matter what you can get the right one for you. The size are a bit more on the smaller size but the price you pay makes it one of the best values in doughnuts I’ve ever seen at a fresh made doughnut place.
One bite in and my eyes rolled back in my head and I was transported to heaven if only briefly.
They have a really cool atmosphere too and had a mini Nintendo to play while you wait.
Also their coffee is amazing and well priced.

We just made a stop today because the little ones wanted a donut before our trip back home. They were delicious and tasted like grandma’s donuts. The man working the counter was very polite. My husband and I also liked their coffee. We would definitely be back.

This was such an amazing experience! Flavor combos like no other and the made to order donuts are top notch! I never thought in a million years that Sriracha and peanut butter would go together but they made it happen!

Walked in 20 minutes to close with two people who walked in just ahead of me. No employees were in the front of the store. After two minutes a young lady walked out and we all looked to her. She acknowledged none of us, grabbed some containers and walked to the back. Maybe change closing time if employees aren’t going to work until close. Wouldn’t have been terrible but we walked here.
Edit: The owner got in touch with me and was quite kind and offered me a reasonable option to try the donuts. I went back the next day and an incredible young man named Josh was in the store. He was slammed as this is such a popular location. It took some time, but Josh put my order together and made an iced coffee and cappuccino. My wife and I loved it all, especially those donuts! We got to see them made in front of us and customize them. We got Boston Cream and 3 from the photo: Vanilla Oreo, Chocolate Butterfinger, & Caramel Sea Salt. Her favorite was the caramel one! Would go back any time I’m in St. Augustine!
