Big Time Bake winners The Cupcake Shoppe have been on my must-try list for a decade! That’s because we moved away from Hayward before I got to trying them, but now we’re back. Finally time! I had to get the french toast cupcake for which they are famous. The cinnamon frosting flavor was so good! I do wish I could taste more bacon, though.
Even as a day-old, the mocha cream was delicious, and I was delighted to find caramel inside. Probably my fave of the bunch. And yes, that’s a little shooter of tequila on top of the margarita cupcake! I wish the lime flavor was stronger in this one, but the color and the novelty is a lot of fun.
We’ll definitely be making regular stops at this joint when I’m downtown.

This place is great I got some special cupcakes from them there selection is gourmet. I got these for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and I couldn’t be happier. They were so great I bought more when I went in to pick up my order! bravo cupcake shoppe

I ordered sugar cookies and asked my boyfriend to pick it up. When I saw it, I asked why is the box yanked? My boyfriend said it was handed to him like that. I was supposed to use these cookies for elderly who are high risk, health wise. I was not allowed to give it to them due to the box being yanked and has a hole that exposed the cookies. I paid this with my own money and company would not reimburse me because it wasn’t our fault. It’s the shop’s fault. During this time where we gone through the worst of pandemic, I wish you guys are more careful with your packaging because it is a big deal. Very disappointing and a waste of money on my end. However, I tried their cupcakes before and they are really fire! Except now I’m not sure if they observe proper cleanliness in their shop including proper packaging.
The cookies are still intact in the box, sitting in my office.

Everyone who works here is so sweet just like the yummy cupcakes it’s so hard to choose just one or two sometimes because they always have a great variety of flavors and special recipes. This is definitely the spot to go if you want to find really unique and sweet treats made with love ❤️ that look as amazing as they taste !!

We got the strawberry margarita, chocolate strawberry, churro cheesecake, and frosted banana cupcakes. We also got a lemon cheesecake and a brownie.
The strawberry margarita came with a dropper of alchohol, an interesting addition which I admittedly got out of curiosity. I’m not much of a drinker, so I enjoyed most of the cupcake without it, but did think it has an interesting profile as a result.
Injecting it into the cupcake a bit at a time would be best to avoid letting it get soggy, but a few drops on top, using a slight groove in the frosting does make the alchohol a bit more pronounced, changing the way you experience the flavors.
The churro and frosted banana would have been best eaten fresh so the crisp textures would have been at their peak. Pretty obvious, but you can only have so much sugar in a day!
The lemon cheesecake had a tart bright start with a smooth and rich end, leaving you ready for another bite.
The brownies had a light crust of chocolate drizzles and pieces, which gave it a slightly firmer consistency. This was good be ause although I enjoyed the flavor, the brownie itself had a softer texture than I prefer. Soft to the point of falling apart.
Great quality products, a variety of flavors, and pleasant sales people. A great spot for a sweet tooth.

This place is so amazing. Aside from the cupcakes being the best I’ve EVER had, they are so artistic with everything. The cupcakes look beautiful, so pretty and cute. They vary in color and are always complemented with proper colors, ornaments and their trademark deliciousness.
I really, really recommend trying this place out if you want some cupcakes (or a single cupcake or just have a sweet tooth!!). I heard they’ve been on the Food Network or something too.

REALLY DISAPPOINTED! I don’t know if they began cutting corners on the baking ingredients but in addition to oily buttercream toppings and $4.50 for a regular sized cupcake they charge a .75 cent transaction fee for credit AND debit cards! What the heck!!!

Cupcakes look so good! And yummy too. A lil too sweet for my taste but I am a plain kind of person. Love the mini cupcake too. And they have other treats like cake pops. And good price for yesterday’s cupcakes.
Wish they use a different kind of packaging though. Looks too much like grocery store cupcakes in the plastic container.

I didn’t really like the cupcakes. They were all too sweet, to me they all just tasted sweet.
I don’t believe they are worth what they charge. Won’t be coming back
