When it was time to order a college graduation cake-FSU Spring 2022, I went with Tasty Pastry. I am not local to Tallahassee, so I did what most would do, I did an online search “top 10 best bakery in Tallahassee”. Tasty Pastry was one of the top 10, I did some reading on their history, and just went for it without a back-up plan. Not only did I communicate via their website, I also made a couple of phone calls. I worked with Kristina on the order and everything was flawless from beginning to end. She answered all of my questions and was such a delight to work with. The graduation cake was exactly what our son wanted, it was so delicious and the price was just right! We also picked up some cinnamon rolls, those were the big and so good as well! Next time I am in Tallahassee, I will definitely be visiting Tasty Pastry. Great desserts, breakfast items and customer service was superb!

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. I walked into the bakery for the first time within days of my son’s birthday party. I was thinking that with late notice I would end up buying a generic cake due to lack of planning properly on my part. This was not the case as the customer service here is fantastic and reassured me that they were able to make exactly what I wanted in time for the party. The cake was beautiful
and matched my son’s birthday theme. I chose a chocolate cake which tasted fantastic and was not dry. I am already looking forward to getting a cake with Tasty Pastry for future events.

There’s a reason this place has been so successful since the 60s! All the baked goods are amazing but don’t miss out on the savory items too. The spinach and tomato quiche is to die for. We ordered FSU graduation custom cookies for this past weekend and couldn’t be more pleased. The cookies were delicious and exactly what we wanted. Plus ordering over the phone was super easy thanks to the kind staff!

The customer service is great here I love the staff, but this writing on my cake is absolutely horrendous. I wish they’d used some type of cursive or decorative writing instead of this 5th grade level manuscript

Tasty Pastry Bakery is a family owned bakery, opened in April 1963. We are a real, old fashioned bakery whose treats will put a smile on anyone’s face!

I literally typed in bakeries in Tallahassee and took a leap of faith with Tasty Pastry. I have lived in Tally for 2 years now and had been ordering my cakes with Publix and Sam’s. I have no problem with either but getting most customized designs can be challenging. Tasty Pastry did not disappoint!! From the price, to the design and can’t forget the taste! I was really impressed and my family was also. I also have to mention I hate chocolate cake. I asked for a layer of chocolate and vanilla. My daughter loves chocolate…but I just happen to leave the party giving away slices of the vanilla tier and keep most of the chocolate to myself. Again, I hate chocolate cake lol but this cake changed that. I will be back in May!

I bought a piece of fudge and a German Chocolate cupcake from here and I just was not impressed. Fudge was bland and the cupcake tasted like a basic sheet cake. No pizzazz at all. I don’t recommend.

Everything I have purchased here has been absolutely amazing. Love their casseroles and quiches. Very nice employees, too.

Delish. A friend had ordered some while there for a doctors appointment and if I lived there I would be a frequent customer. The cupcakes have the best flavor and the icing is just right. Everything else in there looks so good. The aroma is powerful. Too bad I live in SC and she lives in GA. The only downside is that the holders for the cupcakes are too big and are not functional.
