Where’s the filling? Multiple times I’ve given the Long John donut from Stan’s a chance, and every time I am let down. The chocolate and bread are good quality, but there’s never any filling.

It’s a really cute place! The decor is fun and cheerful and there is a good mix of seating options.
The donuts are good, although by midday they are sometimes out of several kinds. I totally agree with the other reviewer who said the height of the display case + the tables really close by make it hard to see what donuts are there. My favs are the old-fashioned donuts. The seasonal/limited edition flavors are usually good.
The coffee is reliably good and their chai latte is very good too (note: it’s quite sweet). They have some ground coffee available for purchase and some miscellaneous Stan’s merch (T-shirts, mugs, etc). I probably wouldn’t recommend ordering a breakfast sandwich. They taste good but always fall apart to the point of being difficult to eat. Also, this location seems to frequently be out of ingredients. Otherwise a great stop!

Worst experience. My husband and I just ordered half dozen of donuts at Uber eats and 5 of them came wrong. We called the store and they are refusing to refund us. They sent donuts with peanut, which we don’t eat, and it’s one of most dangerous allergy foods. We want a solution, Stan’s Hyde Park. Order in name of Damian, 05/10.

I just moved to the area and stopped in for coffee – saw a display case of absolutely tantalizing donuts so I need to try one. Gave the blueberry cheesecake one a try and OH MY GOD it was sweet but not too sweet, CRUST AF and filled with delicious cheesecake. My day is made.
Nitro cold brew was good too. Not bitter.

My first time trying Stan’s Donuts and my last. I purchased the chocolate vegan donut. I save it, until I was home. This vegan donut, was dry and tasteless. I have purchased vegan donuts, at only locations. Whole Foods vegan donuts taste much better. Don’t waste your time, buying vegan donuts from Stan’s, you will be disappointed. Also customers service at this location, needs improving. One is all, I will give this place.

I know it’s a donut shop but they have the BEST bagels in Chicago! Coffee is amazing, too. The staff is very friendly and now that I’m a regular, they remember my usual order. Love this place!
