They made me a wonderful birthday cake that tasted so good and was so pretty. Our theme was jurassic world and they did an awesome job. Yellow cake with strawberry banana filling and chocolate frosting. Omg the cake was so delicious.

Grew up eating these DELICIOUS cookies and have passed the love for them down to my kids. Always a treat when I come back to Bakersfield and wished they would ship to other states. ❤️

This is the one place I do miss. But every time I travel back home to visit I always make sure to stop here and grab a dozen or two of my favorite yellow happy face cookies before I hop back on the freeway out. I don’t know what it is about those cookies but I’m hooked lol.

This special bakery brings back so many memories for me and my family! Over 50+ years of choosing Smiths! The traditional happy face cookie recipe and the wonderful designs using this recipe are always on my mind! Smiths is the first place I visit when in town. When my son married in the Bay Area, we just knew what would be served at the wedding. Friends carefully transported many, many dozens of specially designed wedding cookies just for their wedding. Jim and his family have served Kern Co well. If only they would ship to me in Idaho.

Smith’s Bakery is an absolute must anytime you are in Bakersfield. This place is a gem and has been around for years they have the best champagne cakes, especially the pink champagne cake. The happy face cookies the thumbprints it can go on and on and on this is literally the best bakery around probably ever. Do yourself a favor right now, stop reading this and get on over there and you won’t be disappointed.
