Having visited a local business in the area I was craving something sweet and on my way to the freeway entrance. I did a quick search and this place popped up so I stopped by to grab a cupcake. The store is adorable and has a great flavor selection for their cupcakes. They even carry mini cupcake samplers as well as adorable pupcakes for your fur babies. Choosing a flavor was hard but I finally settled on a lemon coconut one. The worker was super friendly and boxed it up to go in a super cute pink box. I really appreciated that the box had an insert to make it easy to travel and arrive in one piece. It made it from Newport News to Williamsburg without issue. The cupcake was absolutely delcious with a beautiful and delicate crumb that managed to hold up to the buttercream. It was absolutely luscious! My one small critique is that the lemon was super faint and I mostly tasted coconut but that did not take away from my enjoyment whatsoever.

I contacted them by FB messenger and email to request a custom cupcake order for my best friend’s birthday of cupcakes that look like highland cows. The customer service was great. The product turned out super cute and my best friend loved them. I got half dozen of wedding cake cupcakes with almond buttercream icing and half dozen of red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. They tasted delish. I’d highly recommend this place.

So after 2 years of searching Virginia for a good cupcake shop, like the one we loved back in Arizona, we FINALLY found it today. These cupcakes are moist, delicious, just the right amount of sweet, and so cute! We WILL be coming back, these are a slice of Heaven on earth!!! The peanut butter one was divine omg

Amazing experience and delicious treats. Stopped in randomly after my kid’s haircut appointment next door, and I’m so glad we did. We got a scoop of chocolate ice cream for my son who quickly demolished it, and a mini cupcake assortment. Cupcakes are beautiful, taste amazing without being overly sweet, and the cake part itself is tender and perfect.
I posted a picture of the mini cupcake assortment….but there may be a couple missing because we couldn’t wait for the picture, that’s how good these are.
Smallcakes would be great for a special treat, or getting something nice for a get together or party. Highly recommend.

It smells amazing walking into the store and I love the interior decor. All the cupcake we bought were really good. A little pricy but it is worth it.

Not only are the cupcakes amazing, but they even have a sweet treat for dogs. Plus, the staff are very sweet! Which is had to come by.

I was not impressed neither of my cupcakes tasted very good. The were very moist but the carrot cake tasted nothing like carrot cake and the chocolate was very bland…the icing was way to sweet and the cream cheese and chocolate basically tasted the same…sweet…I will definitely not go back again…

We love smallcakes! They are definitely not anywhere close to small, we cut ours in half and share all the different flavors we order! Our favorites are peanut butter cup, birthday cake and carrot cake!

So let me start by saying this is a smallcakes bakery I can get behind. They are friendly, professional and know me by name. The whole new look is breathtaking. The vibe is so relaxing and inviting I go for cupcakes every week. It is such a difference from prior staff. The way they speak about cupcakes and revamping is nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait to pick up my orders. I see great things from the current smallcakes team yayyyy
