Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee Reviews

Los Angeles

Expensive but you get what you pay for! The stuff sold here are fresh. The workers gave me samples since I was new. The huckleberry and salt -butter donuts are they best sellers, which I sampled. They were both good. Huckleberry was not overwhelmingly sweet, so I could taste the dough and huckleberry both. Salty donut was good, too. The chocolate donut was delicious. Three donuts for about $15 including the tip for almost aggressively friendly workers, but there are constant stream of people coming for donuts which shows that people are willing to fork up their wallets for good quality donuts around here. When you walk in, the workers shout, “welcome!” I almost shouted back something, but I didn’t…

Alright I can’t help it, this place gets a 5 star for sure. So many things I can rave about. The guy’s at the counter were so kind and explained their donut selection and what they’re famous for. I went for a few different varieties to try out and BOY was I surprised…..
I tried the churro, Apple Fritter, the Vanilla Bean Glazed and the Choc-A-Lot
Yummy Yummy

The donuts are hand crafted and fresh! The coffee beans are local from The Common Room Roasters. If your are looking for a giant size espresso based coffee this isn’t the place for that as it’s based more on a Aussie style sizing.
I generally order on the Sidecar app as the line is always out the door. Though there was an issue with my order (the coffee was ready but the donuts nowhere to be found), however they quickly and cheerfully fixed the problem. Everyday is busy and and holidays more so. If you are dropping in be prepared to wait, but it’s worth it.

They have the best donuts ever!!! Need to try the Butter&Salt!! They are pricey, but so worth it. I have not found any other place that has this kind of quality. It’s not close to me, but I definitely make the drive just to have them. They’re constantly baking them, so you get them fresh and warm.

I’m not gonna lie: I thought this place was all hype, what with the exorbitant prices and select locations, I figured it was just a passing fad. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The place was crowded with people on a Friday at 12:30pm (usually office hours for most people, so that speaks volumes of the level of demand these donuts get). The ambiance was nice, the people were friendly and courteous, and the donuts (the main star of the event) were big, fluffy and fresh. They truly go the extra mile even with the tiny little cute box that people get when purchasing donuts (I only got 3 and they gave me a tiny box to go with them). My total came to be a little bit over 13 dollars (a tad pricey, hence the 4 stars instead of 5). I tried the Apple Fritter, the Vanilla Bean Glazed and the Choc-A-Lot. This definitely won’t be a weekly thing but for sure it’ll be a monthly thing to quench my gourmet donuts cravings.

Fancy donuts. If you are into donuts(who isn’t right?) then it is worth a visit. Good customer service and amazing donuts. Pricey but it is obviously worth a try. Im sure you will go back. Try the Choc-A-Lot and the malasada(has a fruit filling).

Omg., the best freshly baked Donuts I absolutely love this place. They always have one Gluten Free option Available.

These are some fresh donuts. Not overly sweet, as I expected, which was a good thing. The cake donuts are top tier.
Huckleberry and cinnamon donut were my favorite.
The line moved quickly.
Tables outside to enjoy them.
Was able to find a parking spot in the lot.

Outrageously good, they will only serve fresh donuts. On weekend mornings there is sometimes a line but insiders and locals know, order ahead and your box is waiting at the pickup window with your name on it, no waiting.

They aren’t kidding when they say “worlds freshest doughnuts”
Fresh doughnuts made every hour. WOW!
These truly are the best doughnuts I’ve ever had. You can’t even compare them to normal ones. The balance between sweetness, consistency, and flavor is absolutely PERFECT.
Oh and the coffee is great too!
