Nice and clean. TOP KNOTCH donuts. Bear claws are outstanding and the staff is really nice.

Visit this this location is I was on this side of town for a meeting. I usually frequent the one on huebner close to USAA or Wurzbach close to the colony. These particular donuts seemed overcooked to me and perhaps this is the way this location makes them. But they had a notable crunch to them which again I’ve eaten a lot of Shipley’s donuts in these seemed a bit overcooked and dried to me. But looking at the photos it’s the exact same ones I got so again maybe it’s a regional thing for this side of town. The other thing is they didn’t glaze a lot of their donuts. Which honestly was shocking to me. Got an assortment of donuts and a jelly donuts were not glazed. But everybody else seems to love it so maybe again it’s a northeast side thing.

On Google store hours say 5am on Mondays…that is wrong they don’t open til later. Not sure if its 6am or not

Buy them when they are Hot. Right out of the oven. Usually drop in Shipley’s around 0600 o’clock twice a week on the way home from grocery shopping. Only drawback buying donuts/pastries so early is several of the more desirable items in chocolate line are not always available (Chocolate Fill, Chocolate Glaze, Devil Food). Opt for a Bear Claw, Butterfly glazed, Apple Fill, Bavarian Cream & regular glazed donuts. If you eat them immediately or during the day, they are the best. Practically Melting in your hand. Wait until the next day, not as good. Dry. Getting hard. Not as pliable and with less flavor.

Went there this morning, 2/27/22. The young lady behind the counter was condescending. I asked for regular milk. She said skim, or whole? I don’t know it’s 5:30 in the morning. Regular is whole. But the condescending nodding of her head was a bit much. Then after I asked for the wrong “filled bar” she says well that’s a different price. I did tell her to cancel the order and said that she was being rude. Just completely rude. She apologized and as I walked out felt the need to say “have a wonderful day” condescending at 530 is a bit much.

This place would be alot better if they were to use fresh eggs in dough. And move there selection of donuts closer to view them. You can’t even see what your buying they are so far away . And these donuts are very expensive. And front desk lady is rude. The taste is there. But need fresh ingredients and bring the donuts closer to see them.

First visit to Shipley donuts. Went in the early morning. No line and received fast and friendly service. The girl that helped me with my order was very sweet. She even gave me suggestions on which donuts were their popular sellers. So with her suggestion I bought them. Haven’t tried them yet, but the donuts I did try were very yummy. Will visit this donut shop again.

i am a fat person of the fat community these donuts are so good i will loss it i want to eat that for ever and coffee is bad but them donuts awesome people give me a fat discount so good if i could marry the donuts i would so good and all fat people should rise up to to use all there money to by the place i go there 5 times a week so if we had the place all fat people can get donuts there free
