Shipley Do-Nuts Reviews
Showed up 30 min before close & they still had a great array of donuts & the glazed were still warm! Great customer service, did not cheap out when asked for assorted (not all plain). Very clean & the drive they was fast!
Updating my review from 2yrs ago, when they just opened and was ran by different management. They have some good donuts and customer service was good. Alot better experience this time around..
Good donuts. They close at 3:00. I always want donuts right after they close! Lol 9 times out of ten They are out of my favorite Boston Creme! Probably because they are so good… staff is always friendly and quick.
The guy who served us was super friendly, super inviting. The kolaches were fresh when we came in at 9:30. And the donuts were amazing! Will definitely be back.
The employee that helped me was very very nice, but did not give me what I asked for. My daughter wanted a donut birthday party so I figured Shipleys would be the best! I asked for 2 dozen sprinkle donuts. Said no specific color, any color, but all sprinkle donuts. After they put them all in the box, they seal it with tape. So you can’t even really double check your order without holding up the line. Got home and opened it up and discovered I was just given 2 dozen of a random assortment! I had to rearrange the assortment and put the most colorful ones in one box and all the others in the other. The kids will not want a solid dozen of these donuts and we are so so very disappointed.
Excellent kolaches. I enjoyed the feel and flavor of the Shipley Bold every bit as much as the Kolaches at Slovacek’s in West, TX. I’m a huge kolache fan. Although raised in OKC, I’ve lived in Texas for a quarter century and I’ve had kolaches from many donut shops around Texas. This was my first visit to a Shipley’s. The negative reviews made me nervous, tbh. But I went in a little after 5am and got a fresh Shipley Bold with sausage, cheese and jalapeño. It was pretty dang amazing. What I liked about it was there was a good amount of cheese and the bun was soft and fresh. The donut shop near my house uses sausages with the cheese and jalapeño INSIDE the sausage, and the bun is a bit more dense. This usually results in less cheese and a drier kolache. Shipley’s had ample cheese and jalapeño between the sausage and the bun, the way it should be. I mean, I don’t know if Slovacek’s is the gold standard for a Texas Kolache, but what I had this morning is definitely worth a try. Go early!

This is just your average donut shop with the exception of the cream filled donut. I would be happy with just a cup of the cream filling, it’s the best around! Communication is difficult. It took 5 out 6 tries for her to understand what I was asking and then again what I wanted.
Excellent donuts. First time having a kolache. It was just ok. Needs to be filled more expected more for the price rather small otherwise cool small donut place to check out.
A delightful consistency to the donuts. ALSO! Cherry flavors are here! My fellow cherry lovers, they have cherry glazed and cherry filled donuts for us!
The texture is a light cake, and ever so slightly chewy. It’s my new favorite place and OH!! Fruit Loop donuts! Crunchy donuts! The selection is glorious!!
The owners are the sweetest people. We gave her a complicated order and she took it like a champ. We were patient with her as there was a language barrier, but it wasnt frustrating. She dipped a couple plain cakes for us in cherry icing, that was very sweet. She is always smiling and polite. I love coming to shipleys, even if it’s an hour drive from Weatherford.
