Shipley Do-Nuts Reviews

I have gone to this location many times because it’s closer to my house and they are always out of the popular donuts even at 9am. Also, the donut holes taste like they have been sitting out for awhile. They are not fresh at all. I end up going to the one on 1604 instead. So much better!

Donuts are like half the size they used to be and are thrown in paper bags where all the icing comes off. Also, there was a 4-5 year old child just walking around the kitchen and peeking out of the drive thru window. Will not go to this location again.

Kolaches, kolaches, kolaches…….not sure why but the wurzbach and vance jackson location and the downtown locations have better kolaches than the other stores. The ones off redland and bandera are pretty legit also. Shipley’s has been serving it all up fresh for a long time and the no frills point and pay experience hasn’t changed at all. Props to a San Antonio staple.

I like Shirley’s better than all the rest.

But visited here at 8:15 am on a Monday but it was closed???

What gives??

Love Shipley’s! I stop by this location about once a week. It’s always clean(!!) and the donuts are super good.

Thanks to Kevin & Lyn for giving me the best recommendations!

I love coming for just a quick snack, sometimes you need a sugar rush.
I will says this, I got a mango smoothie and it wasn’t very good. Tasted more orange with small mangos chopped up. Still love this place though.

Best Shipley’s in the area — wish there was one closer to West and Blanco.

I’ve given constructive criticism to their staff about their kolaches. They are over cooked to the point of being the color of potting soil, the is hardly any cheese in the sausage and CHEESE kolaches. The little girl that answered told me she thinks it’s fine the way it is.

I will post photos comparing a kolaches from Wurzbach just down the road. You WILL be able to tell the difference. Their goods arents aren’t fluffy, they are stiff. Even their donuts aren’t ready by 1hr after they open. It’s so inconsistent.

Save yourself the disappointment and drive west on Wurzbach and go the Shipley’s there. I gave them 5 stars.

Update: gave them a second chance and they failed me. This is what they served, and when I went to return it the lead girl said “So do you just always leave the drive thru without checking you food” uh yeah, I would hope you guys care about quality of the food and don’t leave it up to customer to check for the quality. I understand maybe checking if the order was wrong, but not if it’s under or over cooked. Worst Ships in SATX
