Presta Coffee Roasters Reviews

Cute location, inside of a marketplace. There’s seating indoors around the coffee bar but no real designated seating outdoors as this is reserved for the restaurants in the market place. The iced lavender latte was delicious. Their regular coffee is really good too. Service was great and the baristas are very nice and kind.

Beautiful decorations and ambiance. SUPER delicious drinks. Tonic and espresso is the way to go!

I had a particularly strange encounter here this morning that was equal parts hilarious and confounding. My GF and I recently moved into the area and were excited to try this place due to the rave reviews. So why the one-star? Sit down, grab a cup of coffee (not from Presta), and check it out.

First, the vibe. The vibe is a cross between pseudo-intellectual-hipster & hotel lobby that’s been adorned with plants to mask the inherently ugly truth. Shockingly, hotel lobbies actually play better music. But who really cares about that? I’ve had amazing coffee from coffee-carts, so it’s no biggie. I don’t judge a coffee shop purely on the vibe alone.

I spend ~$60/week on coffee and try my best to spread that out between a few places. I walked in on a Friday morning, and there weren’t a ton of people, and to my luck, there was no one in line. I smile and ask for 2 iced mochas with only a single-shot in each. The girl at the register immediately replied with, “We don’t do that. We only do doubles.” Dumbfounded, I asked “Really? You can’t do a single? Are you sure?” And if it was possible then to pour out half of the double in each so that it equates to a singleish shot – my foolish, last-ditch attempt to give them my money. She responds with a deadpan, hollow smile that oddly matches the décor and unnervingly says: “no” through her teeth. I politely responded that it’s okay and I walked out.

Now, I know you might be thinking, “well, that’s only one isolated incident.” But it’s not just that singular incident, but rather what that incident implies. At best they are lazy, at worst they are…well, jerks. Perhaps my look didn’t match the vibe? Maybe they don’t welcome the overworked-scruffy-tech-dude type. Perhaps they only welcome the “we’re only here because this is what I think a cool place looks like, and I want to look super cool” (which is inherently uncool) type.

What a weird encounter. Fortunately, the morning was saved by the two amazing single (gasp!) mochas I got from Decibel Coffee which is right down the street – highly recommend! You work hard for your money. Don’t spend it at Presta.

Best coffee I’ve had this entire trip! The ambiance was perfect. I loved the little shopping center that Presta was located in. It made me want to live in Tuscan! Definitely make a stop here!!

Been here a handful of times. Never had any of the baristas actually greet me. It’s full of a feeling of pretentiousness. Advise caution going here. Oh and the coffee is Meh.

Paige is a fantastic Barrista, and very special young woman. After our quick bicycle stop, there is nothing better that a great espresso to get you back on the road!

I always enjoy stopping at Presta when I’m in the area. They’ve been friendly every time I visit, and always have a new and interesting coffee to take home and try.

The Mercado location has a really nice open booth with a lovely green and white theme that really fits the location. It is very easy to access from the interstate, and has a large parking lot which is a huge benefit around Tucson.

I love this location! The baristas are super friendly and the coffee is delicious! I ordered the coco rosie and a peachy boi! Can’t wait to visit their new location!

One of our go-to specialty coffee spots in Tucson, with reliably excellent brew, seasonal drinks, and friendly service. Happy they have WiFi and indoor and outdoor seating, making it easier to relax and/or work. The courtyard is lovely. I’m only docking a star because of the lack of pastry (let alone vegan) options, though there is a panadería in the same building.

The coffee here is absolutely amazing. They have so many options and even milk substitutes. It is made fresh and certainly worth the trip!
