Tucked away off one of the main streets is Paula’ Donuts. Although everyone mentions Tim Hortons, I decided to try Paula’s. It did not disappoint!
I got a coffee and sausage, egg,and cheese sandwich on a bagel!

I love Paula’s Donuts and have been a customer for over ten years. Whenever I cross the border, one of my go-to places is Paula’s, where I order my favorite, the Frosted Angel Cream. This time, I lived on the edge and preordered specialty donuts: Maple Bacon Cinnamon Roll, Cannoli Donuts, Maple Angel Cream and Cookies and Cream. My freezer is now stocked until I cross the border again and indulge in these heavenly pleasures. Totally worth the drive from Canada!

Paula’s, I used to love your giant apple fritter, it was such a classic. But what is this? I ordered apple fritter, but this is NOT an Apple fritter! ☹️ for whatever donut this is, it’s just ok, too much apple filling and overly sweet and alcohol-ish for some reason… it made the boring chocolate sour cream donut the highlight of the order… I understand you have a labor shortage, but please stay classic and cool!

We have been at the Tonawanda location twice however they were closed. We finally made it during opening hours and we were not disappointed. Our biggest hit was the Canoli donut. OMG it was amazing but so many more to try. The store was clean and the service was outstanding. We went at about 320pm on a Monday so I’m not sure how crazy it gets in the mornings.

Paula’s donuts were just okay. There is a lot to choose from. There isn’t a shortage of variety.
The customer service is very good. Cashier’s are very knowledgeable and courteous.
Some of our donuts were hard and didn’t taste any better than a gas station donut.
The powdered filled donuts are delicious.
I also tried a cheese danish. The cashier warmed it for me and that made a huge difference. It was simply too hard straight out of the case.
When you opt to dine in store they do serve you off glass plates which I thought was a nice touch.
Maybe if some of the donuts were served warm they would taste a lot better. Majority of the ones we tried were pretty hard. They also didn’t have a fresh taste to them. Not the worst donuts I’ve ever had, Just middle of the road okay.

Best doughnuts in Buffalo, great selections , highly recommend ordering ahead as it can get very busy. But they keep the line moving . This location does have seating so you can enjoy your doughnuts and coffee there

This was our first time at Paula’s! We placed an online order on Saturday night for a pickup Sunday morning. They had a nut free option (though not rated allergy friendly) and we were able to request things we did/did not want. The price was reasonable for a dozen big donuts and the donuts were hands down some of the best we’ve ever had. You’ve definitely made repeat customers of us!

An absolute icon here in the 716! It’s worth the wait in line for these behemoth and delicious donuts, often large enough that you can split a single donut between 2 people. They are loaded with filling, frosting, and toppings and it’s no surprise when they have to use 2 boxes to fit your dozen donut order. If you like donuts and you haven’t been here, get here! If you’ve ever had them, then you already know. . .

I only ate the cannoli donut, which is the one on the right. The oreo mint is on the left, to be saved for tomorrow lol. Now the review, it was an amazing donut. I was steeling myself for overpowering sweetness but I was mistaken. The cannoli filling was rich and not too sweet. The powdered sugar was a bit messy but again not too sweet. It was large and quite filling. Texture was sublime. All in all, the cannoli donut was amazing. 🙂
