…….The Donut Shop in Crystal off of Douglas Dr., I tried the Apple Fritter and a Chocolate covered Donut. But….the Apple Fritters aren’t very “Apple-y”, they are nice and sweet and they’ve got that fry down to a science it seems, nice air in the dough, not overly sugared dough. Sweet enough glaze, but I kind of noticed the lack of Apple?? The chocolate donut was good. I was here at 7:00 as they unlocked the door.
I think 4 out of 5 ☆☆☆☆ is fair.

Loved my experience here, A small hole in the wall type place with superb donuts! Hours are a bit rough but the gal working starts her day at 530am. Enjoyed a variety of treats and a very affordable price.

Visited due to high marks on nextdoor app.
Fritters had few apples in them and way too sweet coating.
*All the donuts tasted like old or reused oil.*
Very friendly staff and customers, but won’t be returning. 🙁
Not sure what owner response means?
Maybe the solution is as simple as switching shortening/oil vendors?

Not sure about the bad reviews stating bad tasting oil. I’ve never had a bad tasting pastry from this place. Owner has always been generous as well. He gave me some free fritters!

We have driven past this place many many times but never made an attempt to stop in…just seen a write up in the Post about this being their 40th anniversary so on Valentines morning, I rushed out to get my daughters and wife a few dounuts. WOW, super delicious. I now know where my go-to donut shop is! Awesome!

Oh man, this little donut shop in Lamplighter Square sells super delicious donuts. Their maple cinnamon roll is to die for. Well, to be truthful, all of their donuts are equally as good.. Decent prices to boot and friendly service.
