North Lime Coffee & Donuts – Westport Village Reviews

Heard about a new donut spot in the area so I had to try it out. The aesthetics are very appealing… nice farm house meets cafe setting ( which I love).
Now the service, the lines were long but expected since it just opened, but the staff were friendly and made some reccommendations. I got regular and choc glazed. The donuts were a little over done for my liking but not bad. I will definitely be back to try other variations

What an unexpected fairly new treat! This is a very roomy, spacious and inviting coffee shop. Nice selection of coffees, espressos, specialty drinks and donuts. They even have a daily vegan donut! They make all of their donuts in house! All of the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and gracious. If you’re in the Westport Village or near the area, I highly recommend a visit-you won’t regret it. Tell the owner Joe Ross “Coffee Joe” that I sent you!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and was so excited when they opened up a location close to my work. I got enough for my family to try and we all loved them. My personal favorite was the funkfetti one; it was very sweet but not in an overpowering kind of way. I also got an iced latte which was very good as well. I took my donuts to go, but the interior was very cozy and the decor added a hip vibe to the place. All in all the quality of the menu is great and the staff were kind and friendly. Will definitely be back again.

Stopped in this morning and had to wait about 10-15 minutes. I knew it would be busy since they just opened a few days ago. The inside is super cozy feeling and the wall art is beautiful. I only grabbed 3 donuts and an iced flavored latte. Most if not all of the donuts are cake which are my favorite. I spent $10.35 and it didn’t take long to get my drink. You can save $5 on your next purchase if you sign up for text messages which is nice.

First time at North Lime! The cashier was so so nice and service was fast! The aesthetic of the cafe was also very pleasing! The donuts were tasty, Can’t wait to come back!

As a foodie and a traveler I seek out food quality. I visited this morning and was pleasantly surprised at the selection of donuts. I ordered a cup of coffee and two donuts one of which was a specific donut (simple glazed, all of the glazed were golden, but one was much darker and obviously left in longer.) My donut heaven. Not to be, I was basically told I get what I get, that they pull from one end of the tray. I questioned this and was brushed off. Obviously the person who owns this place took a lot of time and care to come up with a product that seemed to stand out in the crowd, but their employee ruined the experience for me when I was denied what I wanted in a Seinfeld like manner. I am pretty sure the owner and I share the same passion for food but I do not share the pretentious attitude that would deny me their best. All I could do is cancel the donut order and leave. Yes it’s only a donut but really good ones are so very hard to find. it’s also a matter of principle. Try to please the customer should be the rule within reason. I’m Sad. I did keep the coffee and it was just like coffee everywhere else. Not bad and very drinkable but not near as good as those donuts looked.

Bad sometimes? Got a drip coffee and it was bad. Employee tasted it and thought ok. (Not sure if same batch as my cup). Eventually they did give me another batch which was good. Strange. Also music they were playing was punk, pure noise to me. It drove me out of the place which is unfortunate because I like the look of the place. Maybe staff picks music? Weird. Please give me traditional Starbucks music and not so loud!

I have already given the other location a 5 star review, but I am soooo happy about this new location! It has such a cozy, inviting environment and the staff is so kind. And the donuts- oh, the donuts. Still the best in town!

Tried the place a few times through the months, the donuts are not great and the latte I had recently hardly had any flavor to it.

Customer service is okay too, overall I use it as a excuse to get out of my apartment but I miss the other cafe that was here before.

I was really excited to see a northlime pop up so close to me, I love the ones in Lexington! This location was super slow, and I went mid morning and they were out of most donuts. I understand but I’m disappointed, I’ve gone to multiple northlimes across Louisville and they are always out of chocolate glazed, my fave. I like this place but they never have my favorite and the wait is slow for a coffee.
