Midtown Crêperie & Café Reviews

Haven’t been here in a while. Met my aunt and cousins for breakfast. My hubby and I were a little late as everyone else had been seated and had coffee and beignets before we arrived. Our server took a while to acknowledge us. Another staff person gets us and got our drink orders, but never came with our waters and coffees. Our server finally came and asked what we would like to drink so we again ordered waters and coffees. He returned about 15 minutes later to take our food orders; he still didn’t have our drinks. After another 15 minutes, we finally got our water and coffees.

Our meals came and the plates were beautiful. Hubby had the Dixieland crepe and I had the Traditional Breakfast. The crepe had a nice, sweet taste and the fresh strawberries were great. The Traditional Breakfast was good, nothing special. I was really excited to try the Johnnycakes as one rarely finds these on the menu. I was expecting them to have a sweet corn flavor, but they tasted like regular pancakes, so I was disappointed.

I only gave 3 stars because I felt that the service was not great. We had to wait for our beverages as well as wait on refills. My hubby got a refill on his coffee, but I didn’t and I wasn’t even offered a second cup. Though the food was good, my breakfast was average. My cousins said their crepes were great, so I’ll try those next time.

Love this Place!! Amazing customer service, local business, great food, strong coffee and let’s not forget about the mimosas. I hope everyone loves it and much as our family did today. Please support your small businesses. We all appreciate it and a google review too. Thank you Melissa It was nice meeting you. We’ll definitely come again.

Really wanted to like this place. Went on a Sunday morning & waited about 20 for a table. They were pretty busy. My daughter ordered Crepe Brûlée with peaches. The peaches were completely from a can. Really shocked since peaches were available in every store. Other items ok but not worth returning.

Well..the food is good. The crepe was delicious! However, the service was sublime. Rude hostess not only to myself and my other party but to another customer before us who was picking up an order that we witnessed . After finally being able to be seated outside ..it seemed they forgot about us because a couple who have been sitting outside with menus and a drink left after us being seated for 20 min left ..nobody came outside until our server came and finally got our order in. The server georgett i believe was nice and had an interesting story to share that made our visit an amusing time.. if you dont go for the food, the outside artistic view of the outside seating was beautiful, the chairs..not so comfortable. But was a nice touch being in Stockton area. Would go back.
Prices are great as well !

This Café had delicious food. It was worth the money. Wait time was not bad; my friend and I did have to remind the staff to seat us, but they were quick to do so afterwards. At the time of the bill, our server brought us a free crepe explaining she felt she did not serve us properly, but we assured her she was fantastic! The crepe was delicious too!
Thanks for the great experience.

Worst service I have ever had. Me and a date entered the restaurant without be acknowledged by any anyone. We sat down at the cleanest table because all four vacant tables were filthy. After sitting around and chatting for 15-20 minutes I got up and asked the lady who was preparing crepes what was the process and if we had to order somewhere else. We had never been there before. She stated no just have a seat and a waitress will be with you. If you like you can ask one of them right there. Which there were 3 standing around. I sat down and around 15 minutes later a waitress came over to us and told us “ we closed at 2:00” I looked at my phone and it was 2:09. We were obviously there well before 2:00. Worst place ever. I wish I counter recommend it. We simply walked next door and had great Mexican food

I was craving a poor boy sandwich after coming back from New Orleans a few months ago and I was surprised to see it on the menu It was just as good That’s the one I had in New Orleans My wife also enjoyed her breakfast.

Some of the most delishes food. The crepes are so amazing… if you are a lil more adventurous try one of the savory ones.. the sweet Crepes are always a hit and you can’t go wrong.. Mardi Grass & Creme Brulee are my personal faves… and don’t forget an order of Beignets..
The ambiance and decor is unique to our area as it reflects roots of New Orleans…
The owner is super nice and takes pride in her business..
But eeck a couple of the servers are not very nice, almost on the rude side..
Picture of a Charcuterie board that I pre-ordered ahead..
Seriously delish!!!

My gluten free crepe tasted like an omelette. It was bitter and smelled like eggs. I barely had any Nutella or fruits. I spit it out my first bite. I gave it 2 stars because the hostess was nice and offered me a refund she also gave me more Nutella when I mentioned there was barely any. She also mentioned they have new chefs so that could be the issue not sure.

The food was good but it could be better. The look of the place is pretty and the decor is cool but it’s dusty and has a bit of caked grime. I understand that the upkeep to a restaurant can be tedious but I feel that presentation is an important part of the customer’s experience. That being said, the place can use a bit of sprucening up. Also the music doesn’t really match the vibe of the Atmosphere. I really wish that they would’ve played something a bit more true to the place. Don’t know if I would go back again.
