I’m in search of a fabulous bakery for birthdays and special events. I found Merritt’s bakery looking through Google. I arrived the environment is clean, friendly and employees had good customer service skills. I bought a red velvet cake and some cookies. My family devoured the red velvet cake in no time. However, I left my cookies in the car overnight. When I found them the next day, the cookies still tasted great. I will continue to shop at Merritt’s.

I worked with Mr. Merritt years ago and have done business with him forever.However yesterday the tables were not cleaned, one girl at the register addressed buying a house while people waited. They also need a separate line for those ordering via phone as people walked in past the waiting line. Walks need to be scrubbed or repainted and dead lightbulbs in fans need to be replaced. Yes I know help is hard to fine but a daily walkthrough should be done. My sympathy to his children but do grapple with cleanliness.

Overpriced and routinely disappointing. A TON of flies are always Everywhere in the store and land on the foods in the display cases because the food isn’t well protected.
They used to actually make really good cakes in the store – but the cakes are bought and then iced.
Save yourself some money and go to Reasor’s or Walmart for a customized cake. You’ll be getting the exact same quality, less flies, and pay half the price.
Hours are pretty inconvenient a lot of the time especially for people who work. I don’t think they offer delivery either.
They also will claim to make the cakes there and everything else – but I’ve inspected them as a health inspector and the owner herself said they no longer make the cakes there. The ovens aren’t used and there is no place or equipment to make the cakes. Let alone decorate them.

Impressive selection of baked goodness! Cookies, cupcakes, brownies, pastries, cakes, doughnuts … you name it! I’ve enjoyed everything we’ve ever bought, but the chocolate cake with ganache icing is one of our favorite birthday treats. The chocolate cherry mini torte and the Napoleon are favorites as well.

I just stood in line for ten minutes and then walked out because none of the employees even bothered to look at me and say “I’ll be right with you”. I don’t mind waiting if someone acknowledges my existence. Train your employees better or pay them more so they’re more motivated to help paying customers.

I live in colorado and was able to order a personalized cake and get a gift card for some extra treats for my sister’s birthday all over the phone super easily. My sister was able to pick up the personalized cake within the hour and said it was delish! Thanks so much!

We got a small cake with a minecraft theme caked that had a minecraft cow and it was not only adorable, but it tasted amazing and the customer service was awesome !

I would not recommend marriage Bakery for specialty cakes I wanted my son’s birthday cake to be the Jordan shoe she did tell me or suggest that the work will be done better with buttercream so I went with that and it’s good she failed to tell me that the shoe cake will be a challenge for them to make it was not proportion right the lines were not neat it was messy it looks like a rush job I did not offer or want to give me a discount and they did not have a box for me to transport my cake in would not even try to put a box together for me to transport it they said that it’s the same for Lynn they make wedding cakes I think they did a poor job they will not forthcoming with all the details what is gray on the shoe they made it black it’s totally the wrong color and I was not satisfied it is the day before his birthday party they did not offer to give me a discount would not give me a discount that is not good customer service when you failed and you can clearly see where the mistakes are own up to it you owe it to your customers but what we pay for your services. Ive added the pic of what I order compared to what I was given.

The best Boston cream pie I’ve ever had was from this bakery 20 years ago. The worst Boston cream pie I’ve ever had was from this bakery yesterday. There was almost no cream filling. The cream filling measured about 1/16th of an inch. The cream filling was nearly non existent. It tasted great if what you were expecting was a yellow cake with a chocolate icing. I really wanted a Boston cream pie

Great sweets! We got 1 cannoli, 1 maple syrup pastry, & 2 eclair. All were excellent. I will definitely be passing up the bakeries in the grocery stores & making a special trip back to Merritt’s whenever I need any kind of sweets. Highly recommend!
