We had Burial Grounds cater our wedding cake and desserts, and they were a massive hit! My husband and I got a 6-inch round custom cake for cutting, and the remainder of the desserts were cupcakes. The custom cake was a chai cake with citrus chai buttercream and blackberry compote, and we got lemon poppyseed, chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate espresso, hot chocolate, and chai tea latte flavored cupcakes. I have never been to a wedding in my life where all of the desserts were gone by the end of the night, but our guests absolutely devoured these cupcakes, and I’m still hearing about how much everyone loved them two weeks later.
In addition to how amazing the desserts were, Burial Grounds was wonderful to work with. They were very responsive throughout the entire process, and their prices were exactly what I would have expected to pay given the quality of the product.
I would absolutely recommend Burial Grounds for any occasion, even if that occasion is just that you’re in the mood for something sweet. One thing to note – because they are a small, in-home business that is often already swamped with orders, they do not always take wedding or other large event orders. You can inquire with them if you are interested in having them cater an event, but they may turn it down just because of the volume of other orders they are managing.

I have ordered everything from birthday cakes (TWO of them, one of their zodiac cakes and a vanilla and cranberry cake ) to their FABULOUS dessert boxes (the Valentine’s one was PHENOMENAL!!! A big PB buckeye, chocolate raspberry cardamon cake, vanilla and matcha cupcake, and more!!!) and I would do it all again in a heartbeat! Burial Grounds provides excellent customer service and groundbreaking new vegan goodies for any occasion, they are well worth visiting Cloak and Dagger, Beet Jar, or Ready Set Coffee for ❤️❤️❤️
