Liger’s Bakery Reviews
Liger’s has done it again! They always make our special occasions so much sweeter. Their desserts are so much more than that – they are beautiful works of art for all to enjoy!
I decided at the last minute that I wanted a cake to celebrate my birthday. I called Ligers on Tuesday afternoon, for a pick up the next day. I forgot to ask for extra icing (my kid likes icing), but there was definitely not a need to do that with this bakery. The icing was plentiful and the cake was so fresh!
I’ve used them before and I had excellent service with a speciality baby shower basket cake. However, this time I used them they forgot to make my order. Upon arrival for pick they asked if I’m sure that I had placed an order. And the owner found it in a box and asked for me to come back at 3:00. (The order was rushed with no apology or discount) The white cupcakes seemed to been thawed because they were seriously DRY. I wanted a pumpkin on top of the white cupcakes and I got an orange swirl, brown stem and a green leaf. One of the workers said he was especially proud because he had did the pumpkins himself. (The owner was suppose to do them as I stated SHE had done work for me before) I also wanted a fondant plate on top of the chocolate cupcakes that said it’s a boy… well let’s just say that some of fondant fell off the cupcakes while at the bakery and they didn’t place them back on top. And then the fondant MELTED!!! They were in my car on the drive home for about 7 minutes in the air conditioner, what happened because the icing didn’t melt!? I WILL NOT BE USING THEM EVER AGAIN….
These cookies (there were more but I didn’t get a pic before they got eaten) were a hit at a baby shower I hosted. They were so delicious. She worked well with me to make in my price range and to make exactly as wanted. The only thing I realized after picking them up was that 4 cookies said “Oh boy!” Instead of “Oh deer!” Like I had asked for. But only a small detail that didn’t really matter. Very pleased with my first experience with this bakery.
Liger’s Bakery did the cake for my daughter’s wedding reception. The cake was beautiful and delicious! They were easy to work with and did everything as promised. The cake delivery was on time and totally painless. I cannot recommend Liger’s Bakery more! BTW, they make the best iced cookies on the planet, so don’t pass those by!! 🙂
They have a couple cookies, petit fours, pastries & cakes available, but looks like they specialize in tier cakes for weddings. Nothing spectacular looking. Example cakes are sitting out . Looks like they could make a decent southern inspired armadillo groom’s cake though
I order a strawberry cake 10 inch and a dozen of strawberry cupcakes. They were horrible. I have never had a cake or cupcake that kids wouldn’t even eat. I paid $90 for this and called back to inform him how bad his product was in a very respectful manner and he said sorry and hung up the phone .Never again.

My aunt ordered a strawberry cake and cupcakes for my birthday. It was the worst cake I’ve ever had. I could barely taste the strawberry flavor. It was more flour tasting than anything. The texture was like an old, fozen cake that had been in the freezer for months. The only decent part was the icing, and it wasn’t that great. We had 15 people in our dinner party and NO ONE ate more than the first bite of their piece. We threw the rest away. The worst part of the whole ordeal was when she called to tell them, the man barely apologized and hung up on her. No attempt to make anything right. Wal-Mart has better cakes.
I will NOT recommend this bakery to anyone. Recently had a strawberry cake and cupcakes from this place and it was the most awful thing I’ve ever tasted. They cake was way too dry and tasted like flour and the cupcakes were so oily they crumbled in my hand. Took one bite and I couldn’t even eat anymore it was so gross. Their customer service is also very unprofessional. If anyone wants a cake you are better off trying Walmart, Publix, Sam’s club, or even Costco!!!!
We had the famous thumbprint cookies and the cheese biscuits. We haven’t been in years. They were probably better than ever. 5 enthusiastic stars.
