Krispy Kreme Reviews

The food was great of course. The service needed a lot of work. The worker seemed to be working by herself and was not happy about it. She let it be known. She shouldn’t take it out on her customers. We didn’t make out the schedule. We are the ones who pay her salary. She was rude when I couldn’t make my mind up. When I did decide she slapped my box of donuts down on the counter.

Today I purchased dozen original glazed donuts to carry in to work for a meeting. The donuts I received were stale with fresh glaze. This is not the first time this location’s experience has been underwhelming. Usually they have slower service and are frequently out of non original glazed donuts, but usually the original glazed are fresh and delicious enough to make up for the poor service. Not Today though. This location needs new management.

We came here because the New Patton Chapel RD location ignored us and didn’t want to help us.
The lobby at this location was closed so we went through the drive thru. It was around 9:30pm. I asked what they had available and then proceeded to order. I asked the worker to please repeat my order and she said can you repeat your order? She finally repeated it back. I drove to the window where there were 3 employees standing inside. One was on her phone. One had no gloves on touching her face and putting hands in her back pants pockets. They acted like they were just hanging out having a casual conversation and could careless that they were serving the public. Krispy Kreme should do a better job of managing their stores in Hoover.

Bought 2 dozen glaze donuts Sept 17 at 8:26 a.m. When I arrived home I discovered both dozen were cold (had been in refrigerator). They weren’t fresh. My guess is they were made the day before. I could have gone to a store and purchased something fresher.

This is the 3rd and last time to stop here. Each time we visited they were out of the doughnuts we ordered. Also the ones we did get were cold as if stored in fridge. This last visit we ask for plain glazed we are out. Chocolate glazed, we are out. Asked for speciality coffee drink, we are out. I then just left the drive thru line. I don’t know how they stay in business as doughnuts is what they sell. I could understand maybe being out one time but all three times.

The weirdest experience. We placed an online order on a Saturday night. Our pick up time was 7:54. We got there at 8:04 and the place was locked, lights out. The hours listed on google said they were open until 11pm on Saturdays. So we drive up to the drive thru window thinking maybe they were doing drive thru only, but there was clearly no one there. Then this car pulls up next to us and the guy rolls the window down and says, “We’re closed”. My husband asked what time they close and the guy said usually 11, but since it was just him he closed up… Since we ordered online, we had already paid so we asked what to do about that and he said since we paid he has to give us the donuts, so he goes to park his car and goes back into the store. He comes to the drive thru window and asked our name, and then when to go grab our box which had our name and pickup time on it. The donuts were clearly not fresh. The guy was nice, but it was very awkward and we felt bad at first about him having to go back in, but he obviously knew someone was coming since there was an online order. Very strange, and we won’t go back to this store.

We’ve stopped here a few times to grab donuts via the drive through and it always seems like we are inconveniencing them. The people in the drive through are very unfriendly, it seems like they are always out of everything, and the attention to detail is very lacking.

Per Google it was less busy than average, my experience was, cars all the way around the building and the dining room closed. Either staffing is hitting or the staff is ill prepared, very nice though. I got here at ~825 leaving at 910, normally would have rolled on but 5 kids wanting doughnuts drove this train today.

The day we went the lines were long, inventory of specialty doughnuts low, staff shortages compounded the situation. However, staff was pleasant and, of course, regular glazed doughnuts were fresh and delicious.

My grandson and I went to Krispy Kreme on National Donut Day. We used the drive-thru and the service was a little slow but the donuts were warm and delicious.
