Impallaria Bakery & Deli Reviews

I have been in this bakery many times throughout the years for their delish variety of bakery and specialty holiday treats but have never ordered a cake from them.

Shame on me for waiting so damn long. I decided to use them to order a 10″ birthday cake with 2 fillings, one banana and one strawberry with the whipped cream frosting. Omgoodness it was super delicious! The cake was moist, the filling was fresh and the whipped cream frosting was perfect. Plus they only need a day or 2 notice and are open Sat & Sun. until noon or 1 pm. will be using this bakery for all my special occasions from now on.

I got the cinnamon roll and it was delicious! The food is well priced and the woman working there during my visit was friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be returning in the future.

Best chocolate doughnuts ever! Everything in this bakery is the best, but their chocolate doughnuts are superior. Their sandwiches are great also. Love this bakery.

The only good thing here is the chips and drinks because they don’t make them. The cookies are dry and so are the brownies. The brownies are legit crumbled and the cheesecake can bounce and has NO flavor. The cashier is also very rude to the customers especially students that go to Robert Healy for treats before school, saying things like “Get your money out” as well as telling kids to “Move outta the way.” I only go for coffee at this point.

Since 1950 An Italian family owned and operated jewel in the heart of the great Bridgeport neighborhood.
This place has one of the most watched windows anywhere.Thats right the one with the flashing “open” signage.
Cookies, donuts, coffee cakes, and a small deli for Italian Subs, simply the best.
Pricing very reasonable.Top quality.Decor retro.Parking easy.Limited hours.
It’s truly one of the few original Chicago treasures remaining. May it live forever…
As you can tell I love this special place.

This local Bridgeport bakery also has a nice sandwich shop in the back. I always try to get the delicious day old danishes for a great price.

I stopped in on National Donut Day and bought a delicious Chocolate Cake Donut! The customer service was great, felt like I walked into my families house to grab a piece of dessert. They have so many sweet options in this bakery. Will definitely return soon.

Been coming to this bakery ever since I moved to Bridgeport – my first apartment was actually on the same corner which became a problem very quickly lol. We come religiously for the focaccia and doughnuts – it’s become our weekend tradition, the focaccia especially is so good! Probably the best place in the neighborhood for fresh bread, pastries and sandwiches!

The cashier was very rude. The Crescent almond cookies were HARD. The donuts and the rest of the pastries were HARD the next day. Would not recommend nor go back.
