Staff was very friendly and helpful. Donuts were fresh and they had a fair selection of the standard donut types, but everything we got (apple fritter, chocolate and regular glazed yeast, lemon filled) was extra super duper sweet. I also ordered a large vanilla “cappuccino” to share with my husband, which was mainly a cup of vanilla creamer that was scalding hot and even sweeter than the donuts. If you are a sugar fiend the donuts are good, I’d pass on the cappuccino.

Ordered online through GrubHub because I had a large order (3 dozen) for my office. Ordered on Thursday for a Friday morning pickup on my way to work. Order gets cancelled on Friday morning. Reason given is that they are closed. Huh? I call Howard’s and only get a message; no indication of them being closed. I search online and see nothing about closure. This is at 5:45 in the morning. I already told my job I ordered the donuts and would be bringing this morning. This was my first time trying Howard’s, as I’m fairly new to Memphis. My coworkers raved about them, so I wanted this to be a great Friday work day. Guess I’ll have to go with Krispy Kreme and deal with the disappointment at the job.

I love Howard’s on Summer Ave. The donuts are light and airy without being too dry. The shop is clean with a variety of selections. I love that you can get donut holes with chocolate glaze and sprinkles. Yum!

These are probably the best donuts I’ve had in the area. The basic glazed was so chewy and soft yet gooey…absolutely perfect. We will be back many times!!

I mean it’s good for regular donuts it ain’t no Gibson’s but you need a couple glaze a couple sprinkles or something like that that’s the spot they’re really nice they’re look expensive but donuts are overall pretty good

Found Howard’s Donuts by accident on our way from Tennessee to Oklahoma- stopped to get gas and found Howard’s on google maps less than a mile away- clean store and great selection of donuts to pick from- staff was very friendly and promptly waited on us- we are originally from Illinois and feel Howard’s has the best apple fritter we have ever tasted in Illinois or Tennessee

Best donuts in Memphis. Amazing service very delicious fresh donuts plus theyve been having cheaper price compared to other donut places in town. The young gentleman told me they just start raising their price but before they did all sort of deals to keep their price lower. I feel very bad for them when customers have no empathy and being very demanding. be nice to them they are very hardworking and nice people

I always love this place. It’s right next to my school, which was a very smart business move. My favorite is the chocolate donut with sprinkles. When I have play practice, especially on Tuesdays (since we get out early) I walk over to get 1 or 2 for a snack
I used to wonder why people always talk about Dunkin donuts and not Howard’s. Then I learned that it’s a local chain
