Everyone I know who has ever had anything from Holmesburg Bakery LOVES Holmesburg Bakery. They are just unbeatably good! The powdered cream donuts are the most popular among my family, and a dozen always goes almost instantly. The chocolate rods are my personal favorite, but the cream donut is a VERY close second! One bite will have you hooked! Seriously, try them! You won’t regret it.

I love this place! My wife’s family has been coming here as long as she can remember! Their baked goods are excellent! They made our wedding cake 4 years ago and I still haven’t had one as good! Pictured are the sticky buns I got on last visit to Philly! As I was late in getting there I had to get day old as the fresh were already sold out. Still, a great treat!

Holmesburg Bakery has the best cream filled donuts. They are delicious. You have to get there before they sell out though. They have other items. The bakery is clean. The service is fast. The staff is professional and nice.

Oh. The strawberry shortcake! The strawberries were fresh, the ones in the cake tasted like they were hand-cut and maserated in real sugar, not the kind in a frozen bucket but real fresh strawberries. And every one on top was perfect. The whipped cream wasn’t that gross overly sweet stuff. It was perfectly slightly sweet. It was still fresh on day two!

Used to come here often growing up, since moving out of the area it has been less frequent but whenever I am in the area I stop in to get some favorites. I usually ask for the butter cake from here on my birthday as I prefer that over birthday cake. All of the selection here is amazing and everyone that works here is so helpful and kind. I love the no cellphone talk policy, I think it’s rude especially to someone trying to service you and anyone else in there. I got my boss a cannoli and she stated “I think this is the best cannoli I’ve ever had”. You can find something for everyone here and I could talk about this place forever. Just go, you won’t regret it!

Unprofessional workers. I pre paid a week in advance for a cake and when arrived still wasn’t done. Customer service sucks and lacked quantity of inventory. Don’t waste your time and money.
