YOU GOT TO CHECK OUT HERMAN’S I’VE ALWAYS HEARD! LOL SOOOOOOO……we FINALLY visited here ! after passing by here so MANY times over the YEARS ! and NOW living in the AREA, we decided to FINALLY stop by AND SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS WAS ABOUT! it happened to be MY MOM’S FAVORITE PLACE CONSEQUENTLY ! AND She also HADN’T been here in MANY years AS WELL ! so of course, she was VERY EXCITED ! She’s been talking about how she’s been wanting to get to Herman’s bakery now ever since we moved over here 6 months ago ! So INTO Herman’s we WENT ! LOL EVERYONE was VERY FRIENDLY and ATTENTIVE ! WE tried JUST ABOUT every dessert they make ! LOL NOT A PLACE TO GO IF YOU’RE TRYING TO KEEP YOUR DIET IN CHECK! LMBO THE VERDICT: everybody has their OWN RECIPE ! What one person has a taste for, someone else MAY NOT ! Such as life ! THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH TRYING SOMETHING FOR THE FIRST TIME OR JUST TRYING IT PERIOD I always say ! Overall ,I thought everything tasted pretty good I DID TRY MY PERSONAL FAVORITE ! the CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE ! UNFORTUNATELY, it was a LITTLE OVER SWEET and a LITTLE to THICK for my liking but it was STILL pretty good ! I’m used to the “Giant Brand” chocolate meringue, that’s been my favorite so far, I like it the Best ! it’s smooth ,light , creamy and delicious ! And best of all… it’s not sickening sweet ! The cookies here were of course ALL GOOD ! The sugar cookies were MY FAVORITE ! I got sugar cookies ,peanut butter cookies and m&m cookies ! Had to try them all ! You wait ALL THESE YEARS to visit a place, you BETTER MAKE it WORTH THE STOP ! LOL we spent a total of about $32 in desserts, including my MOM’S FAVORITE ,which was the strawberry shortcake ! that’s her FAVORITE ! An $8 block serves 4 people adequately ! Pretty normal prices for any bakery OVERALL, it was a PRETTY GOOD experience ! I’m pretty much in the middle about everything I tasted, I prefer the Amish Market over any bakery I’ve ever been to, no offense to any bakery REAL, FRESH, WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS MAKE ANY RECIPE THE BEST ! REGARDLESS, I’m sure my mom will AT LEAST be sending me up here for MORE strawberry shortcake in the VERY NEAR FUTURE LOL ! she ABSOLUTELY LOVES Herman’s strawberry shortcake ! My mom is old school and what mom SAYS ! GOES ! LOL

I filled with nothing but gratitude with Herman’s bakery. This is por first time and I am extremely pleased. We had another bakery for our daughters sweet 15 and they canceled our order two days before the event. After googling around we found Herman’s bakery and they were extremely accommodating and empathetic they young lady who took our order was extremely sweet profesional and walked us through it all. This cake truly exceeded our expectations and more and the flavor delightful. Herman’s Bakery thank you making my daughter special day one very special with this beautiful cake.

I am originally from NJ and now live in MD. I came here today after passing by this bakery many times on my way to work. The outside decor is fairly outdated and when I went indoors the inside of the bakery was equally as outdated. It also had a weird musky smell when I first entered. I ordered a key lime pie cupcake and a strawberry shortcake cupcake. Both cupcakes were really good. I think if this location updated it’s decor it was be on point. I would come back for the baked goods.

This is my childhood favorite place to go so I had to visit today during my trip from Florida. I was so happy to see so many people showing this historic establishment. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to visit to support the wonderful deserts. You will not be let down! There is plenty of parking, a very friendly and helpful staff, specials on desserts, balloons, custom make cakes and so much more.

Was introduced to this backery by my coworker and evertime i am in maryland i just have to stop and get me a slice or whole strawberry short cake. Even though it has a lil more icing than i would like the cake itself is moist and not overly sweet. They have a ton of different pastry but i mainly go for the strawberry shortcake.

I am very disapointed with the birthday cake that I ordered from Herman’s Bakery on 6/1/21 and picked up on 6/4/21, we took cake with us to Ocean City. The cake was to celebrate my granddaughter’s birthday. My daughter and granddaughter live out of state and were here for two weeks. The cake cost $36.99. The problem was no one liked the cake, stating it tasted dry and did not like icing. I had to agree it did not taste good. I was embarrassed, wanted it to be a special early birthday. I don’t get to celebrate my granddaughter’s birthday with her because she lives in another state. I called Herman’s Bakery and requested a refund not a store credit. I did bring the rest of cake back home, and finally threw it in kitchen trash can. The manager has refused to give me any refund. Herman’s Bakery was a fine bakery years ago, but not the same anymore. I will not be buying anything from this bakery again!!

The place is going down hill. They need to clean up. Fill the shelves behind the counter with baked goods. Make it look presentable and welcoming. Throw the trash away behind the counter. Put some money back into redoing the front counter…… Very obvious things to me that are looked past. I would always recommend Herman’s and wouldn’t settle for less. Now It’s just messy and disappointing. I feel they need to step it up quite a bit. Of course this is just my opinion and you should form your own by stopping in.

I was extremely disappointed with my daughter’s baby shower cake. I asked for a white cake to be dyed pastel pink and they made a strawberry cake that was dark pink. The decoration on the cake was supposed to be a fox that I sent a picture of to them and they used a different picture. The fox was applied late and it slid up towards the top of the cake and into the flowers. My daughter was so upset when she saw the cake. They should have just told us they couldn’t do what we asked for. The last cake they made for me was amazing and that’s why I went back to them but after this cake disaster I will be looking for a new bakery. And they charged me more to color the cake and that wasn’t even done right.
