Happy Donuts Reviews

First time buying donuts here and they did not disappoint me. The donuts were so soft and fresh. I also ordered a turkey and cheese croissant sandwich, it was so tasty. Now, I have two favorite donut shops in Oakland.

Friendly staff and tasty donuts at a reasonable price. Ube was real ube dough, not just some sprinkles.

Went on a Monday, mid-morning and the donuts were so fresh. I was truly surprised. And also sweet helpful service. Would definitely recommend.

My opinion…It’s funny how All the Happy Donuts are owned by different people but are all BOMB AS HELL! For reals, every one is good to me. That’s all that matters.

I had donut cravings like 2 days ago and finally went to the closest place I could find. I had no expectations because I didn’t look at reviews (I just wanted donuts) and they blew me away.
Their donuts have the perfect sweetness level, it’s a local mom and pop shop and they were super nice (even opened the doors early when they saw me waiting outside).
I tried the red velvet donut and a crumbly donut.
I’ll definitely come back for more.

I really love their donuts and hot cocoa but the old man doesn’t work there anymore and when I went in today and saw they had red velvet cake donuts I asked her for one of the frosted ones in the middle but didn’t notice one row was strawberry so she asked if I wanted strawberry or vanilla and I said the vanilla frosting an I only got two donuts so I didn’t see it being that difficult and when we got on the road driving back I looked in the bag to split the red velvet cake donut in half to split with my friend while driving and she had literally given me a plain one with zero frosting on it at all. I can’t believe I tipped her. What a bummer. Its like she did it on purpose. It was very clear about how the conversation went and how I wanted the vanilla frosting not the strawberry one…. so giving me one without any frosting at all was pretty cold. These are new owners I guess. Thats why they have new items and aren’t as good as when the sweet older fella used to make them. I miss him. I miss the other lady who wouldn’t do this kind of stuff. To have a whole conversation about frosting and then to laugh and talk about how much we both loved the cake with the frosting and then to give me one without…. its just cold.

I had my doubts about stopping by. I stopped to try them and , Oh my God!!! one of the best experience lately. To start I got amazed by seeing the baker guy doing all the baking process by hand (no machines). Then I got my food ready. The two lady’s are kind, and they try to serve you fast. Then came the first bite, leave me speechless I never tasted donuts that fresh. now is my favorite place. Highly recommend this place and don’t forget to try the HAM AND CHESSE CROISSANT is just from another world.

Best morning start. Great family ran business . Great good donuts and coffee. Multiple options for coffee, food and donuts. They even have a ube donut. Best customer service of most businesses I’ve been to. A refreshing business and morning start
