My first time being here. Stopped in for a quick bite while my daughter was at high school orientation. Prices are decent and donuts are great. I had the cinnamon roll and egg and cheese croissant. Owner threw in the donut holes since it was my first time. I ate a few before I took the picture.

Yum. Aside from the best donuts in St. Pete they have boba, green tea latte and smoothies… I love the egg and cheese croissant … Thanks Fray’s

This is the fresh delicious local donut shop. My daughter loves their donut holes! They are always fast friendly and convenient! If you haven’t tried it – you need to. You’ll never go back to the big box chains again!

As soon as you pull into the parking lot at Fray’s you know this place is something special. The building architecture is retro at its core and brings back childhood memories of family road trips where the coffee and donut shop is a destination, not merely a stop along the way. Fray’s has a wide variety of hot and cold drinks and some breakfast sandwich options. They are known for their wide variety of fresh donuts. From the traditional old fashioned plan cake, double chocolate, and sour cream, to donuts with apple filling and red velvet, there is surely something here for everyone. Fray’s has both eat in, take out, and a drive-thru. There are always a few cars because this restaurant is so popular but there is only a short wait. This appears to be a family-run business and visiting often you will get to know them personally. Far from a corporate-run “get in and get out” operation, Frays is fast, fresh, welcoming, and a great part of the community!

Greasy cold doughnuts! Do not recommend. We drove all the way from St Pete beach to give them a shot. We woke up early in hopes they were fresh and all we got was greasy cold doughnuts. We thought about taking a picture but we just threw it all away to spare you.

Traveling back home to the St. Pete area means leaving in the morning a lot. Thus, I usually need a quick to go place for breakfast. The typical Starbucks/panera/wawa gets old after a while so I love to switch it up with small shops such as Fray’s donut house.
Walking in, its dead quiet. No ambient music. No talking (covid so no one can dine in). I expected at least some music. The man behind the counter was friendly and attentive. He patiently helped us order and we were out in no time. I personally ordered a black coffee, a cronut and a apple fritter to try (no maple bacon donuts today ). The coffee was and delicious! Definitely an enjoyable sip. It paired well with the cinnamon sweetness of my apple fritter. The apple fritter was lacking in apple flavor and chunks. While the dough was good, it just wasn’t an apple flavor. The cronut left room for improvement. It was a little over done and a bit heavily glazed for my taste. But the inside was delicious. You could distinguish the croissant layers and the donut mash. Aside from the outer doneness, I enjoyes this with my coffee.
For stopping in on a Sunday morning at 11am, they didn’t have a lot left for choices (presumably because they sold most during a breakfast rush). I’d make it a point to return for a follow up visit my next trip!

Best cinnamon rolls on the planet. The staff is very friendly and kind. A great place and the BEST Location out of all the stores in St Pete

Great local spot. Able to accommodate my group coffee to go without any complaints. Great smiles at 6:20 am on a Saturday. Warm donuts, circle swivel chairs, old time charm of yesterday.

The cronut is what you get here. Ok I lied, the Apple fritter, cinnamon bun, and bear claw are all pretty good as well. Let me get back to the cronut here. The CRONUT from frays might be, HANDSDOWN, the best donut in all of the Bay Area. Yes, those are strong words but I’m going to stick to them. When you bite into it you’re met with a sweet, crunchy, flaky glazed outer layer. Then as your teeth sink even further the inside dough becomes moist and soft. Altogether, you have this harmonious combination of a croissant and a donut ultimately creating the CRONUT.
I also like to get the breakfast croissants as well. Particularly the bacon, egg, and cheese. Wayyy better than Burger King breakfast croissants.

What a great morning spot to grab some fresh pastries and a iced coffee. Super friendly staff. They’ve got a life-long customer in me. I’m hooked!
