DK Diner Reviews

This place has an awesome atmosphere. Half of it is outside in the open air, they have a drink bar where you can grab coffee, juice, or soda. And then they also sell donuts.

The wait time can be crazy. We came at around 11 and had a 40 minute wait. So be prepared for that.

I found that the food was mediocre. I had the Chorizo hash and it was 90% potatoes. At least the potatoes were well spiced and the prices were fair.

They do have a fair number of interesting menu items, so I think it’s worth stopping by again.

Lots of great things about this place! Love the atmosphere. Love the self serve drinks. Love that the restaurant nestled in a neighborhood. Friendly service, lots of food and outdoor seating. Feel bad to give 3 stars when there are so many things to love about this place.
Taking off 1 star because the coffee wasn’t the best. Coffee is one of the main reasons for breakfast and we want to love it or at the least like it. The other star is taken off because the biscuits were hard and cold in the biscuits and gravy. Potatoes were also cold. Not a pleasant breakfast. I would not want to return.

I honestly don’t really know why this place has such great reviews. When I entered, I sat myself, in an outdoors creaky tent, had very little service, etc. I ordered a western omelette with a side of corned beef hash. The omelette had green peppers, onions, and ham. The ham cubes were ‘seared’ fine, but the onions and green peppers were nearly raw. The corned beef hash definitely came pre-cooked out of a can and on top of that was burnt. I expected better since DK’s has a lot of really great reviews, but it just seems like a place that sold donuts and eventually tried to expand into a full-service diner – without understanding much of what makes a diner, a diner. For what it’s worth, their menu seemed overpriced as well.

I got some donuts too, those were good, maybe if you’re just stopping by to pick up some donuts I’d recommend it, but otherwise I honestly wouldn’t. I won’t be going back.

A great experience. The donut sandwich was delicious. They sold out of french toast as I ordered. There was about an hour wait. It was totally worth it. Got to sit out on the patio.

Super yummy breakfast that calls for a hearty nap afterwords! The seating outside was nice and the server was very friendly.
I got the Spanish Omelette with added avocado and loaded potatoes with sourdough toast. Slapped it with hot sauce and devoured the whole thing with glee. Their apple fritters are also super huge, fluffy and moist! The only slight downside (which barely mattered compared to how awesome everything was) is that the toast didn’t have significant sourdough flavor.
Inside are self serve beverages (solid cold brew coffee!) such as soda, various teas, decaf, etc. Might have to wait ~20min for a seat during busy times but worth it 🙂

Easily one of the top 5 breakfast places in Columbus. “DK All The Way” is a fantasy come true when you want a tasty, hearty, and creamy meal to kick start the day. The gravy is insane!
“The Skillet” is awesome. The donut Sandi or burger are surprisingly good. Fresh coffee & donuts… Too many good things to list.
Do yourself a favor and just go.

Awesome place! Service was great. Food was on point! A bit of a wait on Game Day..but expected and well worth it!
Thank you

Overall good experience. They were out of a lot of the donuts due to it being later in the day, but the donut pancakes tasted great! The food was quick to come out and there was a pretty decent variety.

A great place to start your day. I was heading somewhere else and on a whim went here instead. I’m glad I stopped in

The cronut was divine, each perfectly flaky bite put me right back in France with the true art of making a croissant. Although, this one was glazed and had a caramel drizzle which is completely western, but delectable and went great with their house blend.

I also Dana’s breakfast sandwich, which is a BLTE on Texas toast, but it was done just right. The bread was evenly toasted, not too much or too little. The L&T were fresh and the egg cooked just under over hard so it made the combo just right.

Most of their doughnuts are cake style. I got an eclair for a friend and tried a small piece. The icing and filling were just the right amount of sweet, unlike others where you bite in and almost feel a cavity growing.

Friendly and attentive service. If you’re looking for a place to work they’re hiring.

When I was asked where I wanted to go to dinner for my birthday I requested DK Diner for breakfast! This place is a cozy neighborhood diner with good service and delicious food. I had a more traditional breakfast of eggs, potatoes, sausage, and a pancake. The potatoes are perfectly seasoned and the pancake was well made and delicious. Of course they are know for their amazing doughnuts so I had to get one of those to go as well. 🙂 Can’t wait for my next visit!
