We went on a short trip this week, so we stopped in on our way through (and back).
Such a cool cafe! Tons of cool mugs, and very friendly staff! Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for coffee.

I met the Deadly Grounds at FanExpo and bought an excellent bean from Ethiopia. I did a V60 dripped, the roast is very well done and the flavor of the coffee is without a doubt one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Too bad the store is so far from my house, otherwise I would be there whenever possible.

Delightful and spooky, it’s Halloween every day of the year here! The atmosphere is to DIE FOR, geddit? The drinks are comforting hot or cold, the staff are friendly and fun, a great date spot to school your partner at some super nintendo. They have a ton of really cool horror merch too! I can’t wait to make this a regular spot

One of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had! Big horror movie fan and hot chocolate lover. They didn’t have any more of the ‘rot chocolate’ 1lb bag but excited to try the ‘white zombie’ (white hot chocolate).
I don’t live in the Durham region anymore and my best friend showed me this place when I was visiting. Definitely a treat!

Great place for handmade gourmet coffee and tea drinks, vast and original collection of grounds and teas to go. The staff is really friendly and nice. The theme is so spooky and different! We drove out here on a Sunday morning and it was great! Made our day!

We love going here , always buy their coffee for at home & go almost every weekend for our weekly coffee/drinks & treats, especially their banana bread skull muffin and shortbread cookies . Atmosphere is awesome & Staff is always so friendly , they almost always have my husband’s part of our order started as he walks in (as mine changes weekly )

I took my 10 year old son to this place in Courtice, Ontario. Well worth the trip from Pickering. My son had a “Peanut Bludder Hot Chocolate” with a Scor Biscotti and I had a “Peanut Bludder Coffee Late” with a fabulous brownie. Both drinks were size “PG-13”. Other available sizes PG & Rated R. Brad & Jess were excellent servers as well as helpers. Store was brilliantly organized and extremely cool. My son absolutely loved it and we shall return like Jason

One of a kind. It’s a must see in my opinion if driving through courtice. Not only are the menu options unique and delicious the entire atmosphere of the joint is impeccable. Only good things to say here- also the staff are super friendly!

This place is amazing! If you’re into pop culture horror, this is the coffee place for you! The only reference piece I didn’t see was honestly something from Beetlejuice, but I may have just missed it, there’s so much memorabilia here! And the barista, though she claims she is evil, was actually very sweet and helpful. If you’re ever in Courtice, I’d recommend dropping by this coffee shop. Not only is their store one of a kind… So is their coffee and specialty latte’s! And definitely try the witches fingers. Always fresh from the coven, as I’ve been told, the west end coven.

I visited Deadly Grounds today and got myself the Winchester Latte, a banana skull muffin and two bags of coffee. Even though I was in for a brief period obviously due to COVID (otherwise I would have sat in and enjoyed the ambience) it was a lovely experience. The barista who took our order was amazing! This was our first visit and it was a great experience. 100% will come back!
