Chin Up Donuts Reviews

This is donut shop is a hidden gem. They will have rotating flavors of donuts everyday. Which by the way, are amazing! I have yet to find a flavor that I do not like. Also, did I mention they roast their own coffee? Yes, it’s amazing too. If you like the coffee, I recommend getting a bag of the batch they just made. You have the option of getting the whole beans or ground to your liking.

Highly recommended. Enjoy!

A big thank you to the owner and staff for the great quality of service every time.

Upon our arrival to Arizona, my wife and I literally got off the plane and grabbed a Lyft straight to Chin Up Donuts.

Once we walked in, we both thoroughly enjoyed the vibe. With the open concept and inviting decor it brought a sense of serenity. Great place to definitely grab a few donuts and either work there or take home.

One thing to note is that their doughnuts are brioche style, meaning that they take 24+ hours to rise and are hand-crafted. This isn’t just any donut shop, it’s an eclectic and elevated donut shop. Perfect for Scottsdale.

While looking over the doughnut selection at their front counter, the owner, Alex was very nice and helpful.

We decided on purchasing a half-dozen and we enjoyed all of the donut flavors that we selected.

My wife’s favorite was the brown butter + sea salt which was a perfect balance between sweet and salty.

My favorite flavor was lavender fields, which developed a deep lavender flavor with every bite.

Please go support this local woman-owned doughnut business. Your tastebuds won’t regret it!

The best donut I have ever had.. and I’ve had A LOT. Not overly sweet dough and not overly sweet glaze, it’s just right! Amazing staff, the owner is so sweet! It feels like a warm hug going into this shop. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!

Awe. Maze. Ing. These donuts are a ridiculous sweet treat. Fluffy, but substantial with fun flavors that are a bit outside usual without being like Top-Chef-Snotty.

Also, the donuts are decadent without being overly sweet. Strawberry Cheesecake donut was like OMFG good. Sea Salt + Brown Butter was as good of salty-sweet treat as I’ve tasted in years.

I don’t think of this place as a donut shop as much a desert/sweet treat stop – like Sprinkles or Small Cakes, but better!

It’s at a higher price point than a basic donut shop, but it’s more reasonable than Sprinkles or Crumbl – and is so much more worth it.

Chin up donuts provided exactly what I needed for a soon-to-be sister-in-law’s bachelorette party! Alex was an absolute dream to work with. She took the time to ensure my order was properly placed, donuts customized to how I envisioned, and even sent a picture the day of so I could see how they turned out!! I highly recommend using Chin Up donuts for all your custom letter donut needs!

I really hate to be one of “those” people leaving a horrible review, but I had to stop mid bite to post this. These are by far, the most disgusting donuts I have ever tasted. The deep fried, burnt oil taste alone is over bearing. While I know it’s a brioche dough, it is so incredibly heavy that I feel like I’m going to gain 10lbs with each bite. The balance of sweet is off, and almost everything tastes like it’s missing salt. My work ordered several boxes of assorted donuts. 4 of the 5 boxes were still completely full, with only a few bites overall. And now I know why. Why in the world would someone want half of these toppings on their donuts, is mind boggling! Gross! Gross! I’ll take a grocery store donut any day of the week!

I must start by saying, I love donuts. My favorite food is donuts and I cannot be more serious about how much these donuts impressed me. The Everything bagel donut is out of this world and the Oreo donut was another winner of flavor excellence. Chin up has created a new level of donut flavor. the drip coffee was delicious and much better than your stereotypical “donut shop” coffee. The atmosphere and owner simply gives you good vibes even before you get the caffeine in your system. Go here for deliciously good vibes.

I stumbled upon Chin Up today on what happened to be their one year anniversary. The owner, Alex, is a wonderfully charming person and the donuts are inventive and delicious. Here are two of the more “playful” ones.

Wow! You have to try Chin Up donuts, these are different than any donut you have had. The dough is not as sweet, which balances with the sweet frosting really well. They have a lot of great options, as long as you don’t sleep in! Their coffees are also really good, they have a La Marzocco espresso machine.

Do not order on Uber Eats or whatever delivery platform. The flavors they give you are very weird and clearly their least selling ones. We got duplicates of a lot. Most were not sweet or palatable.
