First off, I think you should know… I Love donuts. Like at the top of my favorite tasty treats list level of Love.So naturally I like to stop by new donut locations whenever I have the chance.
There were only about ten different flavors they offered here. For as big as this building is, I was surprised they didn’t take advantage of the space they had to work with. Without a doubt though, I was more than pleasantly surprised when I tried a Tropical Delight donut. It was one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. Need I remind you, I’ve tried allot of donuts. There were so many flavors packed into this one diamond donut bite and they were each delicious.
It should also be noted that a handful of their donuts have alcohol in them, including an apple cider fritter situation. It was okay but something I probably won’t be trying again. The dough was really dense and a bit dry. That tropical delight on the other hand is something I would drive miles out of my way to get another one of.
Oh and a quick heads up, the two donuts cost me about $12…I know, but seriously try the tropical delight.

Better than Voodoo Donuts! My first time visiting and I was so happy to find out they have a location in Southern California too! The shop with clean and the staff was very friendly. I had the blueberry bourbon basil with coffee and house-made vanilla syrup and I was in Heaven! I wish I was able to try all the donuts, but there’s always next time!

One of my favorite places to get donuts when you’re looking for something a little “extra”. These guys are definitely out of the box thinkers. You won’t find any plain chocolate or vanilla iced with sprinkles here. Instead, every donut has a unique flavor combination that is sure to set your tastebuds ablaze. From Crème Brûlée to Chocolate Almond Ganache, you’re definitely going to find something that makes you drool.
And the donuts are huge too! Definitely big enough for two, at least in my opinion. My preference is to get a wide variety and then slice them into smaller sections so that everyone gets to try the different flavors for themselves.
Bottom line, if you’ve never tried Blue Star, give them a shot. You won’t be disappointed. They may be a little on the more expensive side, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Very delicious, creative donuts! My friends mentioned this to me, as I am visiting out of town. Had a raspberry-flavored one, and Mexican chocolate donut. I enjoyed it, and paired nicely with a hot tea. Yum…..

Such good donuts! Was told to go here instead of voodoo. So glad I did! Amazing donuts, so unique and original flavors. They were all different flavors, unique flavor combinations, on top of all different kinds of donuts

If you like Portland like I do and visit this food paradise full of humanities and arts, you must go to Blue Star. The donuts and coffee in this store will definitely amaze you! This store also holds the concept of Quality OV QUANTITY ．Blue Star Donuts is a gourmet donut concept founded in 2012 in Portland, Oregon. Their donuts are made with a classic brioche recipe from the south of France. The dough takes 18 hours to make and is handmade every day.
Starting from high-quality bread flour, add cage-free eggs, hormone-free whole milk, and then fold it into European-style butter. They emphasize that the glaze and filling are freshly made throughout the day, without artificial colors or preservatives. Bluestar is definitely a high-priced donuts.In terms of flavor, if there ever was an elegant donuts.
The unique and creative flavors have won us the “grown doughnuts!” selection, and seasonal changes and soon sold out. In addition, the store offers local roasted coffee Coava Coffee and Steve Smith ( Steve Smith) Tea, don’t miss it, it’s definitely worth a try!

The donuts didn’t have the right texture. They were dense. I love the attempt at making new flavors, I just wish that was good. For the price, it needs to have better quality on the basics.

Pretty good but some flavors are overwhelming for my tastes. Sometimes I just want a simple donut, and they have that! But, I really like their old-fashioned donut variations. Very moist and cakey, as they should be!

I kept hearing great things about Blue Star & my daughter & I are suckers for great donuts. I was at one of OHSU’s health centers, a block away from B.Star, & thought I’d grab a few as a treat for my daughter, who was at that moment, undergoing heart surgery. I didn’t have my card on me, only cash. I had no idea they didn’t accept cash at this location. The lady that helped me gifted the half dozen!! What a treat!! Thank you so much! This little treat, my daughters weakness, contributed some joy on a VERY tough emotional day!! YA’LL ROCK!!
